jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Playoff GDTS, anyone? Fatcow made em last year but he doesn't post anymore. I'll vote you to make them.
shortstop Verified Member Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Gardenhire over Gibby, sure, but ain't gonna happen. The optics would look horrible.

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 How about 1 thread per series?? Meh. What else are we going to talk about? I'm sure most of the casuals are gone now. Off Season won't be starting up for a bit....I can't see there being a ton of new threads.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Wait, Edinson Volquez has given Pittsburgh almost 200 innings of 3 ERA ball this year?

BTS Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/gibbons-jays-not-real-tight-knit-group/ Wow. Not exactly an endorsement from Gibby.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Now Gibby talking about how the team didn't win because they simply weren't good enough, and crediting Baltimore's defense for being a lot better than theirs. Every time he talks I can't help but like him. I can't believe how many people think he's a problem.

I really hope he has AA's ear.

Quite the difference, between an aspect of the club being the reason we didn't make the playoffs, or being one of the many small reasons why we didn't make the playoffs. No one who watches this baseball team can disagree with the oft errors that he made throughout the year, many of them errors of foresight

Snider's finally had a break-out year. Took a long time but it finally happened. Not to the caliber that we might have expected a few years ago but Pirates have been batting him 2nd more and more... what a compliment to be batting 2nd infront of Cutch.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Any idea why some guys are missing (Choo for one).
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Depth Charts on Fangraphs have 2015 Steamer projections in them. Hurt players aren't projected for any playing time sow weird things happen to allocate playing time. Volquez projected for 700+ IP lol http://www.fangraphs.com/depthcharts.aspx?position=ALL&teamid=27 Yeah some weird stuff for sure. God help us all if Josh Thole get's 416 PA

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 really good summary of the 2014 Jays roster value http://imgur.com/a/jf8u5
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 really good summary of the 2014 Jays roster value http://imgur.com/a/jf8u5 No surprises. Luckily, several of them (Rasmus, Santos, Delabar) will be non-tendered and head into free agency this offseason.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 How did Lawrie manage to be worth over $9M in the 3 games he played?
LongTimeReader Verified Member Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Why is Verlander starting oveer price? Hell why did Scherzer start over price? Good question. I guess it doesn't matter much (they're both only going to pitch once anyway).Maybe they prefer Price at home?
LongTimeReader Verified Member Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 really good summary of the 2014 Jays roster value http://imgur.com/a/jf8u5 Not surprised Dickey is worth negative value... people think his contract is good, it's really not. It's just okay. And I think people are over-valuing Melky a little... he's not worth more than $15-16M/yr. Edwin and Jose's contracts are just dumn. Surprised Janssen had almost no value this year.
