jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 LOL KC couldn't get to John-f***ING-Danks today in the most important game of their lives! It was Paul Konerko Day! CHW were destined to win!
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 down to the last game We love it!
Arkadium Verified Member Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 We love it! WC spot is not likely going to be an upset. Mariners will likely win with King Felix on the mound tomorrow. BUT A's are facing one of the worst pitchers in the majors in Nick Martinez. Highly unlikely the A's lose tomorrow.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Jays are still in it according to Wilner but now need a miracle
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 KC one game behind Detroit, Pittsburgh one game behind Saint Loo, Sea one game behind Oak for 2nd wildcard. But could have some tie breakers comin up.

Martinez is being scratched because Holland is feeling better, and will start Sunday vs. Sonny Gray.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Looks likes the As are going to tuhe playoffs
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 I'd love to see a tiebreaker tomorrow between the A's and Mariners.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 All the playoffs are set: WILD CARD AL: A's @ Royals NL: Giants @ Pirates ALDS: LA Angels vs. winner of A's vs. Royals O's vs. Tigers NLDS: Nationals vs. winner of Giants vs. Pirates Dodgers vs. Cardinals
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 So we went from potentially three tiebreaker scenarios to none. Oh well. Oak at KC on Tuesday should be fun.

What a fail if they manage to lose it.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Will be curious to see the SP matchups for the WC games

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Oakland needed the players it traded for just to make that wild card game. If they dont make those deals, then they probably wont even get to 87 wins

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 About 1 in every 10 of your posts is not incoherent retard dribble. why didn't Lester and Shark contribute Wins towards the As Isn't that how it works? If the As didn't trade for Shark they might have ended up with 86 or 85 wins, and out of the playoffs. Is that better? Shark was worth at least 2-3 wins in his As uniform, and per Fwar was worth 4.1 wins this year.

They underperformed their Baseruns expectation by a solid 7 wins and pytho by about 11 wins Probably random variance

Todd Redmond got a half a vote for pitcher of the year.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 So does Felix win the CY Young for even the Saber community? Had the same amount of innings as Kluber and had a less xFIP. If you go by RA9 WAR he was also a half win better.
