The worst part about this is that no one is really going to talk about it even though it is a huge story and would be front of ESPN material had a major news station published it.

 

The dirty little secret is that the guys who would be talking about it.... are just as bad.

 

My buddy told me once... and this was 14 year ago... that he went boating with Ron McLean. And it didn't take long for Ron to take off the wedding ring and start talking dirty to any young chick that would listen. Couldn't believe how old and pervy he became.

Well cheating happens around the world so it is not suprising in that sense. I'm sure everyone knows a few marriages that have gone sour because of cheating. I still think that this story is much worse than cheating as it involves rape.

If the Red Sox trade him, then they won't get a comp pick if he signs elsewhere in the offseason. That has to factor in.

 

I don't think Josh Bell is a stupendous prospects so I'd be okay with this. Am holding out hope that the Jays pull it off though.

I think it is 85% certainty that the Red Sox get Lester back next season so I really don't think it matters who he goes to. Might as well be the national league so we don't have to see him for the rest of this season.

I don't think so. His value will increase another 15 million or so because of the no draft pick attached. If the Dodgers throw him 6/150 will the Red Sox be able to afford that?

He's a really good writer. Like, even if he wrote fiction, it would be enjoyable... And he changes 90% of the names in his stories and doesn't shame anyone. There's nothing really wrong with what he does.

He comes off as cheap though. In his books he said he would stay at the shittiest hotels to bank the stipend. He's written a lot of books with the intent to make money, not just for the love of "writing".

Thats not a bad thing. Our starters have been going deeper into games. If the pen is starting to get overused then you call up another pitcher, big deal. Rasmussen was only seeing mop-up duty anyways.
