jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Marco Scutaro might be available Marco Scutaro, if he gets healthy, won't be a regular anymore due to his health issues.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Mariners/White Sox still tied at 2 in the 12th.. and I thought this Mariners team was a contender. What happened to their offense?

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Maybe it's been hanging out with the Jays'? Either that or the Mariners offense is coming back down to earth. For one, they don't walk..and they're 12th in batting average, and last in OBP. Sooner or later this team will drop off, especially with the Angels and A's in that division.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 I wonder if Hawk Harrelson is getting bored by the lack of offense in the Mariners/White Sox game.. they're now heading to the 14th inning, STILL tied at 2. I wonder if this'll be the game, like several long Pirates games in years past, send the Mariners into a tailspin afterward and kills their postseason hopes..

I know this game is on the road but M's 8th best wRC on the road...28th best at home. Or in old school terms 158 runs in 43 games at home, 202 in 43 games on the road.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Interesting Cubs fact...their 5th best batter this year by fWAR is Travis Wood.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Jesus. Ubaldo Jimenez has walked FIVE batters through 3 innings and somehow the Red Sox haven't scored a run yet.

Well, it's now 4-2 Boston. THE Mookie Betts did have a nice hit.. but got fooled into a rookie mistake by trying to take 2nd while Markakis throws to Machado. And Ubaldo just got yanked. Line so far: 3.2 IP, 5H, 4ER, 6 BB!, 4Ks. Looking good for the Jays.. now we need to beat Kazmir tonight.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 There's a 9 page thread on it Have you got jaysfan2014 on your IL by chance? It's been a common issue the past 24 hours. Yes I do, and I could not find a thread on Samardzija

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Why would anyone want Vidal Nuno!? Apparently the Yankees are REALLY desperate. Despite peripherals, putting McCarthy at Yankee Stadium and with a horrid defense team is a huge mistake. Certainly the Yankees can do better this.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Are you serious? The Yankees just acquired a good pitcher for virtually nothing. Being hit at a .298 clip even with a 93/20 K/BB ratio, and the awful Yankees infield defense is a recipe for disaster.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 @ChrisCotillo Sources: #DBacks and #Astros making a trade. LHP Alex Sogard traded to Arizona.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Joon Lee @iamjoonlee Rubby De La Rosa left the game for Pawtucket after a scoreless first inning tonight. Assume #RedSox trying to keep options open. Trades coming in Boston, especially after the Sox lost AGAIN, and are fading out of the race worse than the Jays. UPDATE: Never mind. I forgot Boston needs a spot starter Wednesday.
