G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Choo working out nicely for Texas so far (dammit we all wanted him, but before we knew how good Melky was going to be) Fielder not so much

fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 The Astros are pretty fun to watch. Guys like Villar, Altuve, Fowler, and Springer are fun on the bases. Looking forward to them getting Correa and Singleton up and adding to the pitching staff. The Astros are also awesome to watch because their team is garbage, so if something good happens it is legitimately exciting. Also A LOT of bush league plays!
Eragon Verified Member Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL Ohhhhhhhhhhhh s*** lol That is gold. What is Manny doing this year anyway?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 That is gold. What is Manny doing this year anyway? He's planning another comeback and for some reason MLB teams are still interested in him
Eragon Verified Member Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Reminds me, Eric Thames doing pretty good in KO: http://www.homeplate.kr/player/64914
Eragon Verified Member Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 He's planning another comeback and for some reason MLB teams are still interested in him Don't see this on Wiki. Source?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Reminds me, Eric Thames doing pretty good in KO: http://www.homeplate.kr/player/64914 What's his BABIP????? LOL Watch him be the 2nd coming of Cecil Fielder
Eragon Verified Member Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 What's his BABIP????? LOL Watch him be the 2nd coming of Cecil Fielder No idea but don't get too excited, if you compare his stats vs. other players in the league (?)... he's 15/60 in OPS... I imagine it's like hitting AA there: http://www.homeplate.kr/kbo-statistics/batting?year=2014&cat=OPS&ord=DESC
Eragon Verified Member Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 I don't know why but I like to follow old washed-up Blue Jays that had some flashes of Talent... Eric Thames, Randy Ruiz, Travis Snider, etc.

Eragon Verified Member Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 He's also 2nd in homers with those 5 and walked 10 times to only 15 strikeouts... something's not right here lol He always had great bat speed. I wonder how much he's getting paid there.
Glock Verified Member Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 He always had great bat speed. I wonder how much he's getting paid there. Edit: Just Googled it and found an answer: So somewhere between $87,000 and $300,000 I guess. His salary is shown on his "profile" $250k USD with a $50k USD signing bonus
Eragon Verified Member Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 His salary is shown on his "profile" $250k USD with a $50k USD signing bonus Good for him. Lot better than AAA money.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 He always had great bat speed. I wonder how much he's getting paid there. The think that confuses me is the walks, how on earth is he walking 10 times and only struck out 15?? As for salary, he and Jorge Cantu got offered the same 1 year/$300,000 contracts. Apparently (according to this site) no one in the country believes that amount. edit: damn got beat to it!
