G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 MLBTR: Boston has signed Ryan Roberts to a 1 year deal valued at 1M
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I'll take that over the course of a year. The ratios are fine. More innings are needed.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Seems silly to note this after 1-2 starts Too early, yes, but JFaS' stats do stabilize fairly quickly.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Seems silly to note this after 1-2 starts Well it shows that the pitching has not been quite as bad as it may seem.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Starters have been average at best. Get some more Qs and we might be above average and not kill the pen. What I really like so far is the reduction in the long balls !
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Too early, yes, but JFaS' stats do stabilize fairly quickly. Let's hope the BABIP stabilizes fairly quickly, the Jays's starters have a collective .366 BABIP, but they've got pretty sex peripherals all around. I shouldn't even have to throw out a SSS alert at this post.

vdartanian Verified Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I wouldn't count on a whole lot more double digit K games from Buehrle this year.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I wouldn't count on a whole lot more double digit K games from Buehrle this year. That's true. He even said so himself. LOL

Yep. We need that AND some of the dormant bats (I'm looking at you, Colby and Brett) to wake up?
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Wow, 4-2 game in the home opener and Yankee Stadium looks like what you'd expect from the Rays.
flafson Verified Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Jimenez, U 4.2 8H 4R 4ER 5BB 4SO with 109 pitches. I guess whoever said Hutch is a better option was right.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Wow, 4-2 game in the home opener and Yankee Stadium looks like what you'd expect from the Rays. yankees stadium notoriously gets bad crowds on the home opener. Doesn't help that it's an afternoon game and prices are ridiculous. on a related note, David Robertson is on the DL. Rogers Centre - Aggravating injuries since 1989.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Robertson to DL with groin issue. Who's the Yankee closer now? Kelley? Either him, or Warren. But ya gotta go with the vetrin. After all, it takes a special player to play such an important role like the closer of the Yankees.

He's has two VERY mediocre starts. So much for his hot end to 2013 That box score pitching line is very Happ-ish (please ask Lunchbox for definition)
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 What is up with the Sox/Rangers game? I thought it was supposed to start @ 7:10 but MLB.tv says it's still waiting for it to begin.

NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 JP flied out. Looked like the usual Ceeb, he's not pulling a Yan Gomes on us guys. Sizemore just slammed into the triangle on a Choo triple.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Glad he's OK I want bad things to happen to the Red Sox, but I'd like, at the same time, for Sizemore to have a nice comeback. He's worked hard enough for it.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Tanner Scheppers looking like a piece of s*** so far this season (fastball over and over again)
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Tanner Scheppers looking like a piece of s*** so far this season (fastball over and over again) He's better suited as a reliever.

After all, it takes a special player to play such an important role like the closer of the Yankees. Robertson is expected back in 15 days, from what I've read. It's not arm or shoulder related, which is a plus.
