Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Jed Lowrie is a stud and he has 2B experience (199 innings last year). I'd be all over him, if he's available. The price for acquired that injured guy would be too high. I pass.
BlueJaysGirl Verified Member Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I'd bring him back on a MiLB contract. He still had good ratios last year. Blanton's suck to not suck ratio still isn't good enough to bring him in. It's 6:4 for those keeping score at home.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Mariners Looking For Starting Pitching By Charlie Wilmoth [March 26, 2014 at 6:44pm CST] The Mariners are looking for another starting pitcher after the departure of Randy Wolf, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News-Tribune writes. Wolf was to be part of the Mariners' rotation, but he left the team over a disagreement about a 45-day advance-consent release. The team had just released another rotation candidate, Scott Baker, at his request, and Baker has now agreed to terms with the Rangers. That leaves the Mariners with either Blake Beavan or Hector Noesi in their No. 5 spot, and they're looking for other possibilities. "There are still some things in the works," manager Lloyd McClendon said this morning. "We’re starting to get clarity to the whole picture. Hopefully, by the end of the day, we’ll have more to tell you."

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 The Jays would have to give up one of Sanchez/Stroman plus an outfielder, likely Sierra plus a mid level Spect. I think it might be worth it. Mariners want some one ready to pitch now and I don't trade Stroman or Sanchez anyway.

The_DH Verified Member Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 . Okay then. Redmond for pitching now, Drabek for a little later and Sierra.

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Does there seem to be even more injuries to start this season than before? Or does it always just seem that way?

The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 That's a fail. Teams are in Alphabetical order, but Miami must be by Florida to be where they are. They also got Toronto and Texas flipped around wrong.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 MLB predictions according to CBSSports, and Heyman is an idiot: http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/eye-on-baseball/24502591/2014-mlb-cbssportscom-expert-predictions C'mon, the Orioles? That team's predicted to finish last according to Fangraphs and PECOTA. Jays are a tough call.. but Fangraphs and PECOTA expects them to finish 3rd or 4th, because of the Yankees expected to be awful due to age, a terrible infield, and questions regarding the pitching rotation and bullpen, even with Tanaka, who is basically just replacing Pettite. The team's no better with Tanaka.
