G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Is their new manager smart enough to avoid playing him full time??
Ehjays Verified Member Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 He only got two years? And you think he's playin fulltime for the Tigers? I doubt it
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 This inexplicably made me laugh out loud:
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Fine, we'll settle for Choo, then, since we "missed out" on Rajai
Ehjays Verified Member Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 fine, we'll settle for choo, then, since we "missed out" on rajai lol

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 I admit I'll miss Rajai a little tiny bit What a base stealer
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 One of baseball's best 4th outfielders.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Fine, we'll settle for Choo, then, since we "missed out" on Rajai Boras?
Ehjays Verified Member Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Tigers swooped in and grabbed Davis once they saw Eric Thames had been signed by a team in Korea. LOL
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 I admit I'll miss Rajai a little tiny bit What a base stealer I'll miss him, great option vs leftys and unbelievable speed.
Ehjays Verified Member Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 I admit I'll miss Rajai a little tiny bit What a base stealer I'll miss him as well, but not his defence
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 When used properly Davis is an incredibly dangerous weapon. 45 SB in only 360 PA last year!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 One of baseball's best 4th outfielders. Yup, he really is
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Rajai's best blue jay moment: http://wapc.mlb.com/tor/play/?c_id=tor&content_id=23840187&partnerId=aw-7639805193538691666-996
Ehjays Verified Member Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Thing is, the next play he would drop a routine fly ball. thats what pissed me off with his defence
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 He is a beast against lefties he is a great platoon guy to have on the bench. I will miss him pinch running off of the bench.
flafson Verified Member Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Looks like it's a done deal, Rajai is a Tiger. All the best to him.
GeorgiaPeach Verified Member Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Their new LF? Jackson Kinsler Cabrera Martinez Hunter Avila Castellanos Davis Iglesias Platoon with Dirks?
GeorgiaPeach Verified Member Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 One of baseball's best 4th outfielders. I thought 4th OF'ers were adept at fielding? One very nice catch doesn't wash away all the poor routes, reads on balls, hotdogging it, when he really shouldn't be and a weak arm.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2013 Author Posted December 10, 2013 Rajai is a smart dude, I'll miss him alot http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNKVzqoLpfE

Well when I think of a 4th outfielder, I don't look at the guy strictly for defense. Rajai is OK in that regard. Thing is, Rajai can hit and steal, and he's an excellent option off the bench. That alone saves us another roster spot since he can do a lot late in the game. If I had to choose between a GG-calibre 4th outfielder that can't hit and steal bases and an average 4th outfielder that can hit and steal, I'll take the latter.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 9-10M over two years is being reported

You'll be disappointed to hear then that we instead now have the former (edit just noticed the can't steal part doesn't apply to Gose but still...)
GeorgiaPeach Verified Member Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Rajai is a smart dude, I'll miss him alot http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNKVzqoLpfE Bwahahaha, a classic. The best part is " I just found out about that" Uh, ya. The guy talking to you just told you, you stupid f***.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Though base stealing is a skill Gose could outrun Davis in a 100 yard dash, but he is not (yet) nearly as skilled a base stealer
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Two years 10 mil Lol Davis is making as much as a high end NHL player Well MLB operates on a much higher economic level. But yeah, it's kind of funny.
