I love a player marketing themselves. Creating your own brand logo is very NBA or maybe NFL'esk (in fact I'm not sure I've seen a baseball player have one, unless you count Jordan) though.

Whoever came up with that did a good job. I don't have a problem with players doing that, but I suspect the success rate is extremely low.

I guess it depends what he's doing with it. If it's a shoe deal, probably yes. Latin American players are rewarded back home it's just on a much smaller scale financially. Baseball endorsements are generally on a small scale but I can see Trout working a logo into a Nike deal or something like that.
