BarrysSyringe Verified Member Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 What would be a reasonable return for lind from say the Pirates? locke plus a mid level prospect
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 locke plus a mid level prospect not worth it
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Sorry if posted elsewhere. David on Sportsnet.ca - The Blue Jays are also looking for help at second base, and when the Pittsburgh Pirates inquired about the availability of Adam Lind last week, the ask in return was for Neil Walker, according to sources. There was no fit and talks quickly withered, but that explains why even though they’re not looking to move Lind, they’ve poked around on the asking prices for James Loney, Justin Morneau (before he signed with Colorado), Mitch Moreland and Logan Morrison, just in case a potential deal presents itself.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Dammit that would have been sweet

Apparently other teams aren't the only ones asking for a ton for their players! That trade would be all kinds of win though.

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Improving our bench is key too
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Improving our bench is key too Leave it up to AA to add to the bench and pen while ignoring the other positions that actually play the vast majority of the time. Not that a good bench and pen aren't important, but get a freaking SP and 2B already!

Not that a good bench and pen aren't important, but get a freaking SP and 2B already! Considering the injuries we've had the last 2 years, improving the bench might add more value than anywhere else J/k, but in all fairness, he can't force something that the market isn't ready for. If he can't get the SP or 2b yet, then he should absolutely get what he can (as long as it doesn't impact the other later).
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 AA will spend our pieces trading for bench players.
