so yeah this season was a total flop but there definitely were some great moments. what was your all time favorite game or game(s)?

a few highlights stuck out for me. the 0-7 comeback against tampa at the trop was great with CEEB getting the go ahead 2 run jack on 2 strikes against 'swagmaster' rodney.

the other was that 3 game set against the orioles at the back end of the win streak. everything about that series was amazing. good baseball, a playoff like atmosphere at the dome and really clutch hitting. to name a few there was kawasaki's game tying home run, rajai's walk off single, bautista's go ahead home run against o'day and the blowout win sunday to top it all off. it was amazing to see the dome so lively, i honestly can't remember anything like that in the past 5 years other than when bautista went off for 50 hrs and various opening days.

anyone got any other games they really liked?

Dickey complete game shutout

Kawasaki game winning hit

Wins in Boston in June (I was there), when Wang and Ortiz were pitching well (LOL in retrospect)

A few of Janssen's big saves early in the season

My vote goes to the 11 game win streak. At that point, it felt like everything was finally clicking. We got up to two games over .500 and it looked like we turned our season around and were going to play .600+ ball the rest of the way. It was also right when we got Reyes back. Damn.. we looked so good heading into Tampa on that streak.

... and horrendous coming home from there

The 11 game streak was amazing, obviously. They could do no wrong, and by the Orioles series it just felt like winning was inevitable. Then the bubble popped.

I can't think of much else.

kawaski hitting the homerun and the crowd going nuts and edwin and others on the bench chanting his name. that for me is in the top 5 things i've seen as a jays fan. sad eh?

Kawasaki's game winning hit against the Os... I have never seen a better live baseball game and I've seen a lot.

It was more emotional then Carter's 93 homer... (not more emotional then Alomar's against the As in 92).

When Carter hit that home run it was... exciting... but I think a lot of people had allready pencilled in a Jays world series win when Mitch Williams came in and obviously had no control.... So it was inevitable. It was going to end on a walk... or a Mitch Williams wild pitch. Or some other poor reliever would come in and give up a sac fly after Mitch just made an ungodly mess... That game was over as soon as we saw Mitch throw a couple pitches.

Personally I'm waiting for .199.

Just for the novely of it... or do you think the Jays management needs to see the .198 or whatever it is on the year end stats?? Just to really drive home the point that they played a historically bad player for 140 games.

You know, if they see the .198 they rethink how they are evaluating talent. If it's .205.. then JP is just a 20 homer catcher, maybe they replace him, but no deep discussions on talent evaluation.

I kind of like it when I'm right...and after being ripped in the off-season last year by a lot of people I feel like the entire season justified my comments. So there's that.

I would like to be able to say that but can't. You, Georgia Peach, some red sox fans I know called it.

I was excited about the moves, thought it would work.

I will have a hard time getting excited about a blue jay team for... a decade probably.

..........when we were 6-7 and I could still tell myself that it's early and they just had a bad start to the season like half of the league.

I had lost all hope by like May 10th or something when we were 10-21 and everyone was playing like they were new to the game of baseballs.

Stroman as a starter, the progress of the 15 or so guys on the short season teams.

The 11 game streak of course. The most meaningful Jays game I've ever seen. I'm still waiting for the year when we can still watch with interest past the trade deadline.
