Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2013 Author Posted September 17, 2013 flip MVP to actually mean "Most Valuable to their team" who do you give it to? Donaldson hands down for me...with a 23 Win starting staff truly you could have the Astros offense behind the Tigers and still win. Most valuable to your team or His performance was equal to 88-92 wins
GD Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 His performance was equal to 88-92 wins Are you saying Miggy was equal to 88-92 wins? c'mon Ang
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2013 Author Posted September 17, 2013 Are you saying Miggy was equal to 88-92 wins? c'mon Ang No. I just kidding. Trout is the guy
GD Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 No. I just kidding. Trout is the guy Oh Ang
theblujay Verified Member Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Cabrera is the guy. He's amazing
GD Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 He's amazing The logic It's too much I can't handle it
theblujay Verified Member Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 The logic It's too much I can't handle it Are you denying he's amazing? Just try to understand that you are witnessing one of the greatest hitters of all time.
Nox Verified Member Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Are you denying he's amazing? Just try to understand that you are witnessing one of the greatest hitters of all time. You said he's the best you've ever seen. Pujols was demonstrably better (just talking about the bat even). Were you born yesterday?
theblujay Verified Member Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 You said he's the best you've ever seen. Pujols was demonstrably better (just talking about the bat even). Were you born yesterday? I would say Cabrera is a better pure hitter than Pujols. Miggy is just insane
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2013 Author Posted September 18, 2013 Jeff Bagwell was so underrated. underrated? Edgar "best DH ever" Martinez is the most underrated hitter.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2013 Author Posted September 18, 2013 Bagwell >>>>> Martinez at the game of baseball Who has been more underrated between Edgar or Jeff?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2013 Author Posted September 18, 2013 I'm inclined to say Bagwell. I seem to hear a lot more about Edgar. Bagwell received 56% of the vote - 1st year. Edgar 35.9% of the vote - 4th year?
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 He got snubbed for the All-Star game. I seriously doubt they will give him MVP or even consider it. He probably won't even win silver slugger at 3B. Machado will probably get it with his gold glove. (pssssst...Miguel Cabrera plays 3B)
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Obviously it matters, but not that much. Just please tell me you don't think Donaldson is as good as Cabrera. Holy s***, how did you end up here? http://www.forums.mlb.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?folderId=1&listMode=13&nav=messages&webtag=ml-bluejays you'll probably find more like minded people on that board. HAY GAIZZZ, I NEBER EVEN HURD OF JOSH DONULDSUN SO HE ISNT MVP OLOLOL!1
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 I see Donaldson only has 5 SB, what exactly makes him a great base runner Jesus Christ. Maybe this board should have webinars for the basics of baseball.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Jeff Bagwell was so underrated. Still is, apparently.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Holy s***, Mike Trout is going to have an accumulated 21-ish WAR after his age 21 season. Has that ever been done before? This guy is a once in a century talent and it's really a shame he's become a whipping boy for traditionalists to flex their ignorance (many of them at least.) It's too bad. This shouldn't be a Trout vs. Cabrera battle. They are two of the best players to ever play the game and it's almost as if you have to like one or the other.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 You're gonna get banned again lol. If I get banned, it is for the people. You can't keep us down forever!
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Hi Boxy : ) Welcome back Thanks
theblujay Verified Member Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Oh good thing the box is back. Where would we be without him jumping into threads and attacking people with out if context quotes. Btw boxy, tell me, do you think Donaldson is better than Cabrera.

Of course not, Miguel Cabrera is one of the best hitters I've ever seen. Is Donaldson close to him due to the fact that he's a much better defender and baserunner? Absolutely. You need a good defender at third, though and Detroit's constant disregard for good defense is probably the biggest reason why they under perform almost every year.

This board was better without you you ignorant tool. Do us all a favor and leave.

So you agree with me, but you still find a way to attack. Donaldson is nowhere near as good as Cabrera they're not even in the same discussion. Now Trout is on the same legendary level but he still has a ways to go. Donaldson is forgettable, good not great and will probably regress a lot.

theblujay Verified Member Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Your reading comprehension is at a grade 3 level. You CANNOT possibly tell me you think Donaldson is on the same level as MIGUEL CABRERA.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 You CANNOT possibly tell me you think Donaldson is on the same level as MIGUEL CABRERA. So you think that Donaldson should be in AAA? That's a stretch bro, he hasn't been terrible.
