jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 Dallas isn't a SuperBowl worthy team and Dak is extremely overrated. Would have been nice if it was the Bills vs. the Chiefs next weekend but oh well. Next week matchups look great!

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 This post has no value? Dak did nothing really wrong. Stat line doesn’t look good. I’m missing the games as I’m off chasing girls in a times zone 8 hours ahead. Sucks Bills couldn’t capitalize on being America’s team. I wasn’t rooting against them or anything, but soon they’re going to be labeled underachievers. Not saying they’re even remotely similar to Allen but QBs like Dax and Lamar get built up in the media to get picked apart On a side note, how can you not be rooting for Brock Purdy at this point to go all the way
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 This post has no value? Dak did nothing really wrong. Yeah it's tough going up against a 49ers defense like that for sure. He's only won two playoff games in his seven year career.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 I think Eagles beats the 49ers next week in Philly. Chiefs/Bengals tough call. If Mahomes isn't 100%, I would lean towards the Bengals
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 I can't see him going to SF. Tennessee - sure. It's going to be interesting to see what happens in SF. Purdy has been incredible, but they still have the future in Trey Lance. Jimmy G is obviously gone. If SF thinks Purdy is the next Tom Brady (in terms of a late round draft pick who's actually legit) they could trade Trey Lance for a HAUL before the draft. I’m not sure there’s a haul for Lance. How many of these talented high drafted QBs have fizzled the last 5 years. He was hardly lighting the world on fire and adding an injury red flag now to boot. Fields I could see nabbing a 1st+ but I think the Bears will play it safe and move down and still pick up one of those 2 elite DL guys

Yeah I mean Dax didn’t have the history to get any mulligans. He’ll get torched on talk radio and throughout the off-season

He’ll get torched on talk radio and throughout the off-season Dallas Cowboys feel like Yankees and Maple Leafs to me. They always will get torched on talk radio, in the media and amongst fans.

We all knew Lance was a bit of a project coming out of college who would take a year or 2 to develop. I'm not suggesting he's going to fetch multiple 1st round picks, but I could certainly see teams willing to move a late 1st and a 4th for him. I guess the word "haul" is subjective. I love drafts and this coming NFL draft is going to be a fascinating one. Purdy just keeps winning - which is going to put a lot of pressure on the 49ers and the offseason decisions they make.

Yeah, I think that’d be the best case return. The best comp would be Josh Rosen, who many thought would go #1 or #2 overall and was shipped off after a year with some of the shine gone, but there was still the idea he could be a franchise QB. I think he got 2nd and 5th if I remember correct
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 In Googling Rosen out of curiosity, seems he can’t even keep a job as a practice squad player, yikes
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 I think Eagles beats the 49ers next week in Philly. Chiefs/Bengals tough call. If Mahomes isn't 100%, I would lean towards the Bengals If Mahomes is perfectly healthy you should lean Bengals. They have beaten the Chiefs 3 straight times and are a significantly better team.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 I think I remember you talking about how Cincy sucked earlier in the year. No? Probably. Things change.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 Cincy was off to a bad start. 0-2 I believe or something like that. Wanted to bet them to win the division back then because the odds were pretty good. They've played a lot better football in the second half. To go into Buffalo and dominate speaks volumes.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 And the Eagles move on to the Bowl in an impressive W.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 Risky challenge here... looks like he made it, though.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 Ossai's beside himself, but that was a terrible penalty. Eagles SHOULD take care of the Chiefs in 2 weeks.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 And the Eagles move on to the Bowl in an impressive W. Eagles were the best bet. Could have dropped $500 or 1K on them today.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 Eagles were the best bet. Could have dropped $500 or 1K on them today. Who could've, you? I don't gamble like that.

The refs in this game were ridiculous. Huge block in the back during the final punt return, which was the whole reason for Mahomes being in position to flop for 15. Massive holds missed by the Chiefs OL, but I guess that's normal. My god I can't f***ing stand them. I hope they get blown out but maybe I shouldn't since these things don't seem to go my way
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 Eagles were the best bet. Could have dropped $500 or 1K on them today. You have to say that before the game if you want credit for it lol
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 Who could've, you? I don't gamble like that. Haha me neither. Knowing my luck if I ever made a big bet like that I'll lose. I just bet $50 on them to win.

Some questionable calls during the game yeah. That last penalty where Mahomes was pushed after being out of bounds yeah was a late hit on him. Tough not to call that. Eagles are a much better team, though KC has SuperBowl experience on their side. I'll still lean with the Eagles though.

I think that’s pretty much the consensus. I haven’t seen otherwise
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 Ossai simply can't touch him there though. Unless someone tells me he blew out his knee a couple seconds before the push and that prevented him from avoiding it - then that's on him. Mahomes sold it of course, but you simply can't put yourself in that situation there. He has to know going out of bounds around that spot sets up a 60 yard field goal FFS.

My issue is that these calls seemed to always go in KC's favor. Sure, they'd throw an odd offensive hold in here or there, but on critical plays? Always went KC's way. Look at the IG situations. Burrow does it, IG, even though he was trying to get it out in Perine's direction and got hit. Mahomes does it a few plays later, no flags to be seen. Getting pretty tired of it.
