connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Spencer Brown is REALLY excited to be a Buffalo Bill Roids and beer is a fun mix
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2021 Posted May 3, 2021 Roids and beer is a fun mix Just because you're about half his size doesn't mean he's on roids. Perfect form going through the table, btw. Perfectly transferred to a roll as he hit the ground. Gotta be kinda worried when a 6'8" guy who weighs 320 pounds jumps through a table, that coulda gone pretty badly.

If more guys than not aren’t on something at least in the off-season I’d be really surprised.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2021 Posted May 3, 2021 (edited) Well, thur dumn... any Packer fan knows they needed help in the backfield, Rodgers has plenty of weapons on offense. That was last year's narrative, but they took Love, lol. That's when all this FO gripe started, also Rodgers is worth his contract. The last 2 drafts by the Packers have been pretty s***** IMO. Myers over Creedy Humphries in the 2nd seemed odd too (not that I know s***, but almost everyone had Creedy as a late 1st/early 2nd). Then we moved up to get a slot guy in Rodgers, who nobody seems to like? Remember when we took that blocking TE/H-Back in the 3rd round last year? f*** me. Edited May 4, 2021 by Brownie19

JOK Well, last year was brutal straight from the first round, they couldn't foresee a torn ACL in Deguera, lol. Lots of time for those guys to develop. I haven't followed the recent Packers news, have Rodgers and GB kissed and made up, yet?

What are the odds they drafted A Rodgers just as an additional f*** you to Aaron Rodgers. It's too coincidental. I'm not sure why Green Bay has been trying to flush their franchise down the toilet for the last couple of years but it sure is entertaining from the outside.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 lol... Green Bay are fine. Dude, you are fooling yourself if you don't think Rodgers is carrying that otherwise mediocre team on his back. If he leaves, you ain't playoff bound.

The Patriots also had more opt outs than anyone in the league, by a lot.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2021 Posted May 10, 2021 Rodgers just took a hard back seat to the return of Tim Tebow

Saints are a decent example - but Spanky is right, almost every team would be s*** if you removed their HOF QB and replaced him with some middling QB. It's been so depressing watching the Packers draft over the past couple of years. f*** me. It's really too bad that Love doesn't seem to be the future as they could get a massive haul for Rodgers and transition to the future. Denver had a super bowl roster, minus the QB and a ton of cap space to add Rodgers....it's a really good fit. Packers could probably get 3 first rounders + Jeudy or something like that. GB could use Fant too (Deguera sucks Spank).

GB could use Fant too (Deguera sucks Spank). 49ers (Garoppolo), Rams (Goff), Saints (Brees), Colts (Rivers), Browns (Mayfield), Ravens (Jackson), Titans (Tannehill), Steelers (Roethlisberger) were/are all teams that would not crash without their starting QB. The 49ers last year had a lot more injured than just Jimmy G. You can either make up for it in the run game like Cleveland or Tennessee, or with a really good defense like Indy or LA, or both like SF, NOLA and Baltimore. All of these teams were in the playoffs last year, save SF who were missing half their roster most of the season. In fact, a guy like Rodgers can be a detriment because really good QBs take up a massive amount of the cap, which is something I hope doesn't end up hurting the Bills too much. Brady took under market value money for years which is a big reason why NE had one of the premier dynasties in the history of the NFL. Also, there is no way in hell the Packers are getting 3 first rounders and a guy who is looking like a star WR for Rodgers. He's old and makes a lot of money. Edited May 11, 2021 by Boxcar
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 Lions got two 1st round picks and a 3rd for Stafford, who also makes a s*** ton, is getting old and isn't a perennial MVP candidate. Yes, they had to take Goff back, but still.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 Packers should pick up DaeSean Hamilton

Yes, they had to take Goff back, but still. Rodgers is not a perennial MVP candidate. He was trending down until 2020, when he suddenly had a career year. Hes a good QB in the twilight of his career and you need to piss him off for him to be very good. And yeah, taking on Goff had a large impact on Detroit's haul for Stafford, who is a borderline HOFer in his own right.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Maybe Green Bay knows exactly what they are doing. It's a delicate balance. Drafting Love = master stroke. Not drafting a WR or even an OL in the first round this year: bad move. Drafting another A. Rodgers: death knell. They took the trolling too far. Also, LaFleur had an all time bad coaching decision with that FG attempt against the Bucs. I wouldn't want to play for that idiot.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Maybe Green Bay knows exactly what they are doing. lol... Boxy's a closet GB fan, and he loves Rodgers.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 lol... Boxy's a closet GB fan, and he loves Rodgers. I actually can't stand the Packers. Dunno why. I guess 30 years of douchebag faces of the franchise has something to do with it. If I WAS a Packer fan, I'd be pretty worried right now. But I'm not, so I'll just sit back and laugh at the turmoil. Oh, and GB 100% rides on Rodgers' back. He's covered up for a lot of incompetence that will be exposed when he leaves.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 When is Washington going to pick a new name? I just read their team is at about 50% vaccinated. f*** me guys. Too many hits to the head.

Too many hits to the head. Their body, their choice Squashing that anti-vaxxer nonsense, I'm getting my first shot tomorrow so don't @ me. If I'm vaccinated and I'm around someone who isn't, why would that bother me? Also, I personally don't want a name change, especially if it's redwolves or redtails or whatever. Calling them THE Washington Football Team FC is still amusing. I'm worried they would move to a different colour scheme as well, when burgundy and yellow is such a unique combo.
