nextyear Verified Member Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 It's something symbolic, just to put more emotion seeing the game. In that case, it will probably make the game more meaningful. In Ontario we have Pro-line - https://www.proline.ca/ where you can wager a few dollars on combinations of games - I tried it 15 years ago and it was fun to put $5 - $10 on the NFL games; it was hardly gambling but more like buying a lottery ticket.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 I'm kind of enjoying how phoned in everyone's synching is in this Coldplay "performance".
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Instantly upstaged by Bruno Mars as expected.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Coldplay still good. f*** you Gwyneth Paltrow
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Instantly upstaged by Bruno Mars as expected. I just cant stand that "uptown funk" song
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 I just cant stand that "uptown funk" song Well it's massively overplayed at this point but I think it's closer to classic funk than anything on the radio these days. I found it pretty refreshing in that context.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 What are the odds a defensive player wins the MVP?
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 What are the odds a defensive player wins the MVP? Slim but it's happened. Off the top of my head, a DB for Dallas when they beat Pittsburgh in the 90s and a I believe a DB from Tampa Bay won it when they won and maybe Ray Lewis too.
TRM Verified Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 A Seahawks player did two years ago.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 I think there's a pretty good chance Von Miller wins MVP. I don't see how they can give it to any of the Broncos players on O.
TRM Verified Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 CJ Anderson maybe, if he scores a TD before the end of the game he's the guy probably.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Im hoping Anderson wins it, I bet on him or Manning. Do the fans vote?
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Im hoping Anderson wins it, I bet on him or Manning. Do the fans vote? They do. But the fan vote only partially decides who wins. Manning has been awful. lol
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Fan vote will be Peyton Yeah probably. IIRC they voted for Dilfer back in the day.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Fan vote will be Peyton He's been awful the whole post season but you figure with him going out, they would just give it to him baring a really s***** s***** game, but he's managed to do it.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 He's been awful the whole post season but you figure with him going out, they would just give it to him baring a really s***** s***** game, but he's managed to do it. I mean if you think about it contextually, the fact that a 62 year old man was able to get out of bed and play in the Super Bowl is kind of MVP worthy.

jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Anderson TD! Give it to him
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Nice ending to Manning's great HOF career with another ring, even though he didn't produce much. This was a grueling defensive game.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 200th win puts him ahead of Favre right?
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Nice ending to Manning's great HOF career with another ring, even though he didn't produce much. This was a grueling defensive game. Broncos absolutely befuddled the best offense in the NFL. Panthers defense was quite good as well, but Denver forced the game with their line. Miller was amazing. Newton is going to have Miller chasing him in his nightmares for a while.
nextyear Verified Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Peyton Manning didn't contribute much to the Super Bowl victory, however it is good to see him leave as the QB of the Super Bowl winning team.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 If they would have caught him going offside on the missed FG he would have had several boneheaded viral videos.
