September call-ups?

Deck is the only one not on the 40 that I think might be added, as he's going to get added most likely in October anyway. For the record he blew up in the 7th inning after no hits through 5.

Toronto's GM remained noncommittal when asked if Romero is a candidate for a callup in September. Instead, Anthopoulos talked about the need for a third catcher and the return of injured pitchers Steve Delabar and Dustin McGowan. Right-handers Drew Hutchison and Kyle Drabek also are expected to return, and whether anyone else makes the cut depends on the amount of available innings.

I doubt they make any additions to the 40 man unless they need to add the guy in the offseason to protect him from the rule 5 draft. Might have to add a catcher though if Jimenez is too hurt to come up.

 

Due to the injuries, there's only 1 position player even on the 40 man available to come up and that's Gomez. The rest will be arms and maybe they DFA storey and add a catcher

Pillar, Gose, Sierra, Goins, Nolin, Stroman, Jimenez

 

I wouldn't use up a slot on the 40 for Stroman this winter. He never pitched much last year and 100 innings this year is most he should be stretched out. Jays have blew out too many arms in recent years by rushing them to big leagues before their arm was build up.
