he was solid until about 2 weeks ago. lately he's been forcing it and coming up short. He's still viable at first.

D not over-rated. His arm is quite bad though. Not sure I've ever seen him make an accurate throw home.

This game so far has pretty much demonstrated why we are in last place and why Oakland is in first

He's obviously valuable - his bat would make him valuable in CF. Both UZR and DRS say his defense is somewhere between -5 and -15 runs over a full season though. We need to dump Lind and get a 1B so Edwin can DH.

 

I can buy into that, but he's there best option as it stands and it's not the top of the list of problems that need to be fixed though.

Oakland has a cheap young starting pitcher give them quality innings and no big holes in their lineup.

 

We have expensive starting pitchers who give us s*** innings and many big holes in our lineup.

 

I get the impression their defense is quite solid all around. Pure pitching and defense team.

it's going to be an ugly road trip. Jays live on HRs and the Coliseum is a really hard place to hit them. Angels are really bad, but you just know it wont be easy there either. Jays get 2-3 wins on this trip if things bounce their way.
