If he wants to be even an above replacement level catcher, he needs to cut the arrogance, learn how to call games, learn how to block pitches and throw out runners, and start contributing offensively. From what I've seen, he's not willing or able to do any of those things. He will likely never be a "great" catcher.

I've liked JPA since he was a prospect so I have a hard time getting fully on board with the hate. I keep hoping he will turn it around, but idk. I think he's better than he's been this year though. I still have a little hope remaining.
