Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 This is exactly what I said when it happened. The Yankees are making s*** up to keep A-Rod out of games. MLB + Yankees Vs Arod lol Will be fun
mitchf Verified Member Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 I know this goes without being said, but the MLB has to be very careful here. Allowing the Yankees to get out of this contract isn't something that your typical baseball fan will forget about. I can't even begin to imagine the kind of conflict that would create.
vdartanian Verified Member Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 There is no way in gods green earth that Arod gets a lifetime ban for this. There is no precedence that is even close. The union would crucify the MLB owners if this ever happened. The guy used and tested if he tested positive...there is a prescribed penalty for that. There is proof that he used but never tested...well that is the grey area (where they are making it up as they go along), but Braun tested positive, got off on a technicality, acted like a huge douche, and tried to cover it up for a year and a half...he got 60+ games. Arod could have tried to burn the Biogenisis clinic to the ground, gave oral pleasure to everyone who ever supplied him, and s*** right on Selig desk and he still wouldn't get a lifetime ban. MLB still has a union that would appeal a suspension like that til the ends of the earth.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Arod “I think the Yankees and I crossed signals. I don’t want any more mixups. I’m excited and ready to play and help this team win a championship I feel great and I’m ready and want to be in the lineup Fri night. Enough doctors, let’s play”
bowld Verified Member Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 This is getting crazier and crazier. Its obvious the Yanks are trying to hold him out of games until the suspension kicks in.
