harvey16 Verified Member Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 That's the record we have to put up after the AS break to have a shot at a wild card spot. It's likely going to take 92 wins+ based on current standings. Things are definatively looking bleak. Even if we have a great 2nd half, playing at a near. 700 clip for the remainder of the season is near impossible. Time to look at trading some pieces away to try ans start rebuilding the farm. In the words of Vince Carter IT'S OVER.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Its going to be awesome when we trade for Garza and then let him walk for nothing. lol Season over 2 months ago
theblujay Verified Member Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 We're talking about a GM who bought Lyon and declined to sell Oliver last year in the name of optics. Nothing would surprise me. If he gets any offer at all for Oliver this year he better sell
Frag Verified Member Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Heh, this is interesting: Though, the division was weaker then than it is now.

AA is in complete denial if he thinks this season is salvageable

You can't simple extrapolate standings, because if the jays were winning that would be different from the first half...the teams they were losing to they would now actually be winning against and those teams above would have worse records. I still say the final wild card winner will be 88 or 89 games, but that's still tough odds for the jays...
