It was an alright read. The thing I liked the most was the player comparison second from the bottom. ____________BA OBP SLG HR RBI BB K DRS* Outfielder A .250 .324 .476 16 46 29 101 6 Outfielder B .289 .313 .478 16 61 9 72 -4 Can you guess who is who?
DwightDM Verified Member Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I'll guess A= Colby and B= Adam Jones
DwightDM Verified Member Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Adam Jones isn't that great... I'm sick of people suggesting hes so great. He will probably win silver slugger and gold glove again some how. Overrated for sure. Good player, not a gold glover and not a superstar. Colby, underrated? underappreciated? neither?
Nox Verified Member Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I can't wait to bump my thread on the Cards board if he's still a top-10 CF at the end of the year. I can't find it in my heart to make fun of such a well run org anymore. Though some of those posters were fascinatingly stupid.
Nox Verified Member Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Lol way too much credit to JPA there. You're right. f*** JP.
Frag Verified Member Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Adam Jones = Overrated Colby Rasmus = JD Drew (ie. underrated)

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I can't wait to bump my thread on the Cards board if he's still a top-10 CF at the end of the year. Cards are damn good and Craig is a stud
Frag Verified Member Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Drew wasn't paid like he was underrated. Drew's name always comes up in a negative light wrt his play. I'd call that underrated.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Drew's name always comes up in a negative light wrt his play. I'd call that underrated. His game reminds of a lot like Colby's as well. Both are very graceful in the outfield, which makes some believe that they arent giving it their all out there
over500 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Drew wasn't paid like he was underrated. hence casuals always thought he was overpaid
sachmo55 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 On a side note, Rasmus career first half .351 wOBA, career second half .269. The question is can be keep it up this year? Or will he follow his pattern and falter in the second half? It's a legitimate concern Question is whether it's a mental/physical issue (can't handle a full season) or can it be a case of purely random variance? Or a bit of both?
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 Rasmus is 5th right now in WAR for center fielders. Now hopefully he can keep it up the second half.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I can't wait to bump my thread on the Cards board if he's still a top-10 CF at the end of the year. Why wait?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 It's a legitimate concern Question is whether it's a mental/physical issue (can't handle a full season) or can it be a case of purely random variance? Or a bit of both? He's too young, big and healthy for it to be purely physical. I think it's focus/mental fatigue or luck.
