admin Site Manager Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 What a f***ing joke. Play good and get our hopes up, then go right back to being s***. Arencibia Izturis Bonifacio Combine for a .218AVG and .251OBP That's 33% of your f***ing lineup hitting .218/.251. This is supposed to be a contending team. This is supposed to be a World Series team. A contending team where 33% of the lineup are among the worst hitters in baseball. We are over the half way mark, and AA is content with running those three guys out there night after night. Unbelievable.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Awkward, can we ban admin? Everything you said is true though.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 To be fair... The pitching has been mostly brutal during this stretch too...
digiblader Verified Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Playing Boston and Detroit doesn't help either.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Playing Boston and Detroit doesn't help either. A World Series contender should be able to beat anyone. After all, they are usually one of the best teams in baseball. If it's unfair to compare the Jays to Boston and Detroit, then they aren't very good anyway.
digiblader Verified Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 And we need Lawrie and Cabrera back ASAP--there's part of the problem.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 I thought this year was going to be the first time in my life I get to see the Jays in the playoffs... but it looks like the Leafs and Raptors are going to win championships before they sniff October at this rate.
digiblader Verified Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 BTW, tell this same story to World Series potential teams like the Nationals, Angels, Giants, Rays, Yankees(pending what the O's do).. they're all likely complaining as well. Dodgers were excluded because they're on a tear.
digiblader Verified Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Angels fans felt the same way last year when they got Pujols--guess where they ended up?
admin Site Manager Posted July 5, 2013 Author Posted July 5, 2013 Lawrie's .200 average wasn't helping too much either.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 And we need Lawrie and Cabrera back ASAP--there's part of the problem. Lawrie yes, Cabrera, only if his legs are working and/or he's back on the juice.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Lawrie yes, Cabrera, only if his legs are working and/or he's back on the juice. http://www.yugster.com/uploads/image/image/21853/deer_antler_spray_2.jpg
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 angels fans felt the same way last year when they got pujols--guess where they ended up? quick, damage control!!! Divert attention from our beloved blue jays!!!
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 btw Juiced, wtf. Sometimes all caps posts are necessary.
8D Verified Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Your mistake was getting your hopes up. This is not a good team. Regression to the mean?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 btw Juiced, wtf. Sometimes all caps posts are necessary. The forum doesn't let you do it!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Regression to the mean? This team has never played at their mean all year. They played over their heads for one 2-3 week stretch. And have played well below their abilities before and after that. So hard to watch.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 This team is so hard to watch. I don't even care if they win anymore.
Flashman Verified Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Wilner's inevitable spin on it: "Before you all start complaining, the Jays are 14 and 8 for their last 22 games. That is on pace for a 92 win season."
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 This team is so hard to watch. I don't even care if they win anymore. Foolishly, I do.
SAAviour Verified Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 This team is so hard to watch. I don't even care if they win anymore. Exactly where I'm at.
kcjaysfan Verified Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 And if you make it a 23 game sample (slightly less arbitrary), the pace goes way down lol. Wilner is really the king of arbitrary endpoint stats. Someone needs to call him out on that. You think he even understands what "arbitrary" means?
Arkadium Verified Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 What a f***ing buzzkill. That's an understatement. But nothing an overdose of crack-cocaine won't cure.
baseballsss Verified Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Your mistake was getting your hopes up. This is not a good team. funny i remember you saying before the first game holy sheit this is a good team lol
kcjaysfan Verified Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 That's an understatement. But nothing an overdose of crack-cocaine won't cure. Is there anything an overdose of crack won't cure?
Arkadium Verified Member Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Is there anything an overdose of crack won't cure? Only one way to find out...
