Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 So the NBA is really banning the term "owner"? And calling team owners "governor"? Lol that is retarded.

I did not read about any sort of ban, just the league office won't use that term but owners can still call themselves owners from what i understand.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 You guys are luddites incapable of viewing the world through the prism of anyone else’s experience. It’s f***ed up that old rich white guys would be called “owners” of a group of black dudes employed for their physical talents. Take a seat you racist ****s.

Maybe more of those blacks could get jobs selling insurance and let more whities make $100m to shoot a ball in a hoop.

Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 I opened this thread thinking it was talking about the NBA awards. I am disappointed.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 I opened this thread thinking it was talking about the NBA awards. I am disappointed. I love that 4 of the 5 player winners are internationals. Can't really argue with any of the selections, none were even close in the end. Antetokounmpo is going to be insane when he improves his 3 point shot. He should spend all summer just doing shooting practise.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 Draymond Green was one of the people bitching about the term owner and in his own twitter bio he refers to himself as an owner of some nutrition company he owns. You can't make this s*** up.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 So MLSE isn't considered an owner of the Raptors? What?

jmomcc Verified Member Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 So, to get away from the un self aware bitching about snowflakes.. free agency thoughts? I saw Marc stein today say Kemba possibly to Boston. Al horford maybe to Dallas. Also, everyone has money this year so lakers might be ducked if they can’t get a marquee guy. I kind of like Kyrie out of nowhere to the lakers even tho ppl think nets.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 I think Kahwi goes back to the Raptors which will be cool. Everyone's been so condescending toward them about their chances in retaining him. I have a feeling the Lakers are going to f*** it up somehow. They need shooters, defenders and depth but they'll probably get a ball hog point guard instead. I have no clue what Durant does.

He is just a way better fit alongside lebron and Davis.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 The Lakers have already f***ed up. They have 3 NBA players on the roster and the AD trade leaves them unable to sign another max player, which was their plan. Word is their GM is incompetent and did not fully understand the cap ramifications when agreeing to the trade. As for Ball, keeping him was clearly not an option the Pelicans allowed.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Durant opts out. In a way, this actually helps the Warriors. Having $30m tied up on an injured player who is going to leave possibly without playing again would have been tough to deal with. Now they either sign him long term, or more likely spend on improving their overall roster.

Who is the worst GM/decision maker - LeBron or Jordan? Apparently JR Smith is being linked with the Lakers haha.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 They should have kept ball and let Kuzma go. He is just a way better fit alongside lebron and Davis. No way. Ball wasn’t working out. Couldn’t stay on the floor for starters. Shooting 41% at the line makes him unplayable at the end of games when they matter. 30% 3-point shooter. Combine that with his dad drama and it’s good he’s gone. Kuzma faded a bit towards the end of the year but for awhile he was looking really good. Better than Tatum imo. I like that he said he wants to put a lot of work into being a better defender
