Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Warriors have got to be pleased they have avoided a game 7 and can now give Durant enough time to be fully recovered for the finals.

No kidding. Houston wasted what may be the only realistic chance for any other team to win this year.

I still think the Bucks would push them close, but yeah the Warriors have shown again that even without Durant they are the favourites. With him they are close to unbeatable.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Just in case anyone thinking having to start Bogut gives the opponent a chance:
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 So much anger you have. It's just too bad. Grrrrrr...
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Just in case anyone thinking having to start Bogut gives the opponent a chance: They were only playing Bogut a few minutes anyway. He was basically acting as an opener.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 It all depends on making the open shots we SHOULD be making. I think it's pretty clear by now that Philly can't handle us if we shoot at expected percentages. Toronto is the better team in that they’re more consistent with their play (judging by regular season) but no doubt Philly has the more talented roster. How well they play will impact just as much as how Toronto plays. It starts with which Embiid and Simmons show up

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Philly has the more talented roster? Lol Break it down a bit...not going to be apples to apples..but KL and Embiid- Game changers on both ends of the floor, KL playing out of his mind now but basing on long sample sizes KL is better but Embiid not far behind. Butler and Siakam- I know you guys will stick up for boy but Butler’s D puts him above PS Harris and Lowry- I’ll take Harris Reddick and Green- Reddick all day Not sure who to comp Simmons to but that’s a lot of talent. I didn’t comp Gasol and he’s good but not what he used to be
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Philly is a very talented team. Anyone who thinks they aren't isn't paying attention.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Philly is a very talented team. Anyone who thinks they aren't isn't paying attention. Yeah talent wise they match up to anyone but in terms of gelling on the court it obviously hasn’t all come together. I guess if they keep advancing it doesn’t matter though
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Philly is a very talented team. Anyone who thinks they aren't isn't paying attention. I never said they weren't talented, they just are objectively not as talented as the Raptors.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 I don’t have a great feeling about tomorrow, but the Raps are objectively favoured. It would be great to make it to the final four and not have to deal with all the roster-explosion conjecture so soon.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Home teams win Game 7’s at an 80% clip. No doubt it’s Tor’s game to lose
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Raps are lucky they have home court for Game 7. They need to play like they did in Game 1 and 5 at home. Getting off to a great start is so important. Lowry, Gasol, Ibaka and Green have to show up for the game tomorrow. They need to hit their 3's and can't afford to all go 5 for 26 again from beyond the arc. Play a tight rotation again so we see very little of Vanvleet and Powell. Leonard needs to play 40 + minutes again or even 45 mins if it's a close game. I worry about the refs making bad calls in a very close game. They could keep the Raps momentum in check if they want and could help Philly stick around. That's why I hope the Raps can blow them out like they did in Game 1 and 5.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Good thing Raps earned home court for Game 7. Fixed

Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Stupid f***ing mouth breathers changed the Raptors game to 7pm when I planned my day around a 3:30 start time. Why the hell does the west coast game need a 12:30/1:30 start hippie time anyways.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Right during GOT time too, right? You guys have tough deciding to do.. or just split your focus up

Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 PVR. Game will be done by 9:30. Start GOT then. Triple overtime to give you extra heart attacks and ruin your well thought out viewing evening.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Good thing about being a bandwagon fan, I will be happy if they win but not crushed if they lose.
