He's had one good season as a mostly 18 MPG player with some nice spot starts

Elite rebounders and shot blockers are very valuable. If we didnt have JV I'd bring him back as a our starting C. Hard to say. I haven't watched the NBA full time for very long so my opinion is somewhat uninformed, but it seems like his deficiencies on offense would limit his effectiveness as a starter long term, unless he is legitimately elite at rebounding and shot blocking like Drummond is.

He isn't a 2nd unit guy, thats the point. You don't need to be a 2 way player if you're really bloody good at 1 side of the ball. If he was a good offensive player he'd be a all star and teams would be throwing him Lowry money

If he was a good offensive player he'd be a all star and teams would be throwing him Lowry money I'm saying that his stats were put up versus other teams' second units and would likely decrease versus other teams' first units His WS are good, but his Ratings, RPM, and VORP are all pretty bad in general much against a second unit. He's a useful guy more than likely but let's not overrate him ourselves because of the playoffs. Even if another team ends up doing that
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Iman Shumpert got 4/40. Masai gave Terrence Ross 33 mil lol. w/e, no point in discussing since they're giving Demar 125 million *facepalm*

And with JV you aren't going to pay a backup C 7 million to play 16 minutes.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 You can always trade JV for something good *ducks*

He won't get 7 million though, he'll get a lot more. I'd love him back at 7. Dineke you enjoying this game?

What he does with his D is game changing and I still have questions about JV's D longterm. A center can make a huge difference with on D more so than any other position so i want Biyombo to stay!!!

Lowry Harden Carroll Horford Biyombo/draft pick MAKE ME GM Didn't Raptors Republic used to make those lists about who we'd trade JV for? lol

I was assuming that 7 million was on a 5 year contract and would prevent the team from signing a 4 which the team needs pretty badly. Were those Ortg and Drtg numbers from NBA.com or Bball reference?

I know it might be dumb to commit a big contract to someone who would essentially be a back-up on this team. I'm so conflicted.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 I'll tell you what, I would rather commit 125 million to JV + Biyombo than derozan that's for sure.

dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Well he's getting the max from someone.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Well he's getting the max from someone. That team will regret it immensely
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Well he's getting the max from someone. *prays not the Raptors* I really hope LA offers him the max so he can "go home"
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 This OKC-Warriors game is so good. OKC has a chance to pull off the upset.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 OKC vs Raptors Final. Winner gets Durant.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 the plot thickens... it will be hard for OKC if they lose this one after coming back from so far behind
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Reffing has been terrible again. How were there not FTs after Waiters foul on a dunk attempt?
Frag Verified Member Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 I would suggest that the NBA needs instant replay for foul calls, but it's so bad that it would be a mess.
