This is why you need to play JV in these situations.

 

We have no rebounding.

 

The opposing team would then run a high PnR and get a better shot. I'd rather have a better chance to get a stop then a rebound that might not happen.

Why will you get shat on? Demar was great. Attacked the basket. Played some decent D and had 9 assists. Still settled for some stupid long 2's but what can ya do

Yes. After looking great on the offensive end for 3 quarters with good ball movement, a combination of inside scoring (led by JV and Amir) and perimeter shooting, they looked like garbage in the 4th. JV disappeared as usual, and it was 3 point brick after 3 point brick. Near the end DD made some tough And1 shots which were key. Amir and a bit of DD carried the team in OT, shaky rebounding but they got it done.

I don't think anyone has a problem with Demar when he is attacking and passing. Its when he gets into midrange jumpshot mode we all cringe. He was great for most of the game but he still took 4 or 5 terrible shots and until he eliminates them his efficiency will continue to be poor.

 

I think his value is in a trade. I don't think you win a championship with Demar at the 2 as his 3 point shooting and defense will never be good enough.

That's a pretty bold statement to make. His handles/defense have improved significantly this year. He's a gym rat. There is no reason to think he won't keep getting better.

 

Lets wait until the end of the year to see where he's at. He's looked fantastic over the last few games.

Around 19 and 12 per 36 minutes.

 

AVERAGING ONLY 25 MPG

 

How can a guy who is playing at such an elite level be given so few minutes? He could've been a f***ing allstar this year if we had a better coach!

Not that I would anyway, but the defense argument would be easier to accept if he wasn't playing Lou and GV in crunch time.

Hassan Whiteside is tearing it up for the heat... and Masai kept Steimsma over him smh...

 

Whiteside was overweight and horrible for us in the summer league. Every other team overlooked him as well.

He'll barely get to 10 minutes now, that's the problem.

 

Which makes Casey even more of a retard. He knows he's not going to play JV down the stretch yet he worries about his fouls.
