Why would you want Evans to replace Ross in the starting lineup? He's not a good perimeter defender nor a good shooter, keep him away from the raps plz.

Whoever was hating on Tyreke Evans.. take that back! Would love me some Tyreke on the Raps. Imagine him starting at SF with Ross playing a more natural SG and subbing in at the 3 on occasion. That'd be sweet.

 

I would take Demar over Tyreke all day. Tyreke would be a good 6th man but not at the price he's being paid (10+ million)

Well yeah, Demar wouldn't be impacted. Evans starts at the 3 with Ross backing up as a 2/3. I don't like Ross starting long term at the 3 unless he gets significantly stronger (apparently he's bulked up but I'll wait and see).

 

Money/length isn't extremely unreasonable, especially with the cap expected to rise significantly with the new TV deal. A couple expiring deals like Hayes/Fields would offset the salaries.

 

Pointless to discuss anyways as something like this wouldn't happen anyway. Lou-Will/GV will are good enough depth as it is.

So as originally reported Leiwike is leaving within a year. Not good news for Raptors fans as it sounds like the MLSE board had more to do with him leaving than Tim himself. I have no confidence in Larry Tanenbaum and the rest of the board.

I think the best candidateto replace Leiwike is Rick Wells current president of GS Warriors. We need a guy who isn't afraid to stand up to the dickheads of the MLSE Board and is not a hockey guy.

Like you said just because you have a single owner with lots of money doesn't mean its going to be successful. I'm a sens fan and Eugene Melnyk might be the worst owner in the NHL. Not only does he not spend money but he even was present in player exit interviews. He ran the greatest player in Franchise history out of town as well.
