Just a rough calc that I did there but f***ing TWENTY ONE MILLION DOLLARS under the cap next year with an already-established core. Even if we re-sign Amir we'll still have like 13-14M to play with.

Wow this Lebron to.Cleveland thing actually has some legs. Word is Cavs are trying to trade away a couple of contracts in order to clear cap space. And he hasn't even met with Riley yet.

Maybe they shouldn't have committed so much money to Kyrie Irving then.

PJ Tucker is an elite wing defender, if he's willing to take a reserve role I would be happy with him. I really want him, VC or Aminu (although I have makeup issues with Aminu, just like his overall game)

If he came on a 1 or 2 year deal sure, but he's pretty mediocre offensively. Doesn't really do anything with the ball and don't expect him to keep shooting the three like he did last year.

At the same time, we don't really need his offense. Demar or Lowry are always on the court plus the bench already has PatPat and GV. If he can be a solid rebounder/ do the dirty work and hit 3s around 33-35% that would be fine given how great his D is.

Btw...Raptors summer league roster looks awesome. Can't wait to see Bruno and Bebe

 

 

I suspect Bruno is going to be a tough watch.... for a while.

I wouldnt be shocked if Bruno doesn't see a single minute of playing time this season and that includes blow outs.

 

The body has to develop before the skill set can follow

I can't believe anyone offered Bosh that much. Still a very good player but 22M a year? LOL no way. He's a 13-14M a year type of player at most at this point in his career. This move will not put Houston over the top.

Josh McRoberts and Danny Granger sign with the Heat.....

 

They're going to be brutal this year. Book it. Bosh is gone and so is Lebron. Wade probably re-signs but he's on his last legs. They still have a ton of cap room so they'll probably sign someone... But the big 3 is done.

If Lebron signs anywhere but Cleveland or Miami, Toronto's right there with Chicago for favorites for that number 2 seed

 

I don't see Chicago being anything more than a 4-5 seed. I just don't see Rose ever being 100% and their depth got really exposed last year in the playoffs.

 

They need to make a big move somehow.

Chicago never has any depth though and they just grind out games. Butler, Noah and Gibson all keep in fantastic shape.

 

Hinrich was their PG last year and look what they were able to do. Rose doesn't need to be 100%, just stay on the court.

The best thing for everyone involved is for Bosh to sign with Houston and for Lebron to re-sign with the Heat. Use the money saved from Bosh to go after a legit big/PG.

 

Bosh is just not good enough anymore to put the Heat over the top.
