In terms of rebounding and defense, Valanciunas has looked really good the past two games.

His coaching is actually good, I like the sets we have been running and the D has been excellent. It's just his sub patterns make absolutely no sense and definitely don't put the best set of players out there

His rotations and offensive sets in crunch time are beyond terrible and those responsibilities should be given to someone else because he is single handled going to cost us post season wins

They were already bottoming out before Millsap went down, had lost 8 of the previous 9. Destined for the high lottery (11-13), losing Horford was massive

It's the best Raps team ever. You can't even really look at the pre-Gay trade team when you compare to other seasons. It's a completely different team. This current squad put on the floor against any of those prior Bosh/Carter teams wins 8/10 times.

The article's conclusion of heavily weighing anecdotal evidence over the stats doesn't make sense. If one goes by anecdotal evidence, and this Raptors teams makes it to the conference semifinals against Miami or Indiana (or, somehow, further), then this season could be the Raptors' version of the 1992-93 Leafs season for them (going from piss poor play to the conference finals in one year). I would call that historic and their best ever.

 

Regardless, Raptors fans have every right to enjoy this season. It has been a good one for the Raps.
