JaysWS2013 Verified Member Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 I know Beurle has a huge contract and Bonafacio has as well? Beurle hasn't been consistent at all this year and throws too many home runs. Do you think we can trade him as well as Bonnie for a decent prospect? Get rid of their contracts and maybe trade someone else for a decent arm and a bat? You think their are takers?

digiblader Verified Member Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 We're in contention. Buehrle's not going anywhere--Bonifacio might, though.
JaysWS2013 Verified Member Posted June 27, 2013 Author Posted June 27, 2013 What exactly is buehrle bringing to this team?

JaysWS2013 Verified Member Posted June 27, 2013 Author Posted June 27, 2013 Wow lol. Boni does not have a big contract first of all, and the amount of grammar and spelling mistakes is too damn high. Yes I spelled beuhrle wrong, but if you want to start with the grammar mistakes, I think you meant to say " are too damn high" not " is too damn high"
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Has anyone ever taken a look at Buehrle and thought, "man, he looks like an owl"??
JaysWS2013 Verified Member Posted June 27, 2013 Author Posted June 27, 2013 The is was intentional, it's in reference to a meme. Ok no problem. Why are people on this board so aggressive? I was making a statement and I get bombed for making a spelling error.

That right there means that you have lost your right to correct anyones grammer EVER again... Especially something as stupid as 'are' and 'is'.
Metallijay Verified Member Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 What exactly is buehrle bringing to this team? LOL u serious? The guy was our best pitcher for a month after a bad april.

Get used to it, there are a bunch of dominant posters on here, if you say something they disagree with they will insult and gang up on you quickly. Then they will call you the troll lol.

Even if I did make some grammatical mistakes, I don't have to get bashed for it. The one who posted about my grammar mistakes made one themselves. I'm not here to start fights, just trying to make a conversation.

JaysWS2013 Verified Member Posted June 27, 2013 Author Posted June 27, 2013 I must say after looking at his past games compared to earlier in the year, I made a mistake. Why am I thinking he is giving up too many long balls? He is a veteran, but I don't get too excited seeing him out there.

However, he is durable and fairly dependable. Something that our starters have a history of NOT being (Morrow, Romero, etc.). I am quite comfortable having him in the rotation as long as Rogers is willing to pay.

IBTrini Verified Member Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Ok no problem. Why are people on this board so aggressive? I was making a statement and I get bombed for making a spelling error. It's just in the nature of some of these posters - they will never change. On the other hand, some of the comments do not seem reasonable - bonifacio (at $2.6 million, with arbitration eligibility in '14-'15 and free agency in '15) in my opinion is not considered to be big. The Jays starters on the whole have not been consistent however they appear to be coming around and have made up a lot of ground with their streak so much so that some feel they can get at least the 2nd WC spot. If that is so, why would you want to get rid of him and who do you replace him with? Also, if he is so bad why do you feel anyone would want to take on his contract? With respect to getting bombed for making spelling mistakes that's just the hyena mentality. Also, if someone is a Jays fan and want to make a comment about a Jays player the least that is expected is that they will spell the player's name correctly. Just my take on it.
IBTrini Verified Member Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Okay to answer your question... Buehrle won't get traded because his contract is too high. And if we were trading him we would have to pay up a lot of his contract, which would be pointless because we need him to eat innings for us. Bonifacio won't get traded because AA views him as a "key part of this team" The first part I would agree with however Bonifacio will not be with the team too long in my opinion. The jays have a roster jam so if Anthopoulos can come up with Bonifacio as part of a package for a good, relatively young, athletic 2Ber (or some other area where he sees a need) it will be done sooner than you can blink your eye. I still believe he is still all about improving the team as the Jays go forward.

IBTrini Verified Member Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 FYI: Boni is a free agent after 2014. I am aware of that but thanks for point it out anyway.
