Seems like it's all timing, he's always had a violent swing.

 

It's that the pitchers have adjusted to his first pitch approach. He often takes the first pitch and while he was getting several 1-0 counts early on, he's falling into a hole 0-1 now that pitchers know that he has a tendency to look at pitchers. They're attacking the zone and putting him in a hole almost everytime he's up. It's ironic because back when Lind was a scrub, his issue was that he wasn't looking at enough pitches. Now he's looking too hard. He has to re-adjust.
