McGowan sure didn't look useless blowing heat by Longoria for strike 3 last night. His breaking ball command isn't there yet but he looks nasty!

I have come to the conclusion that AA is a pussy.

 

actually I think the Kawasaki move was the least pussy move. IMO he's trying to make a trade that makes space for Muni but it's tough without some team having major injury. As I've said best bet is actually dealing Rajai and getting Boni out of the IF mix.

And btw McGowan is using all of his pitches. Why? Because he'll need them once stretched out into a long man and he'll really need them if needed for a few starts later in the year. That's not me speculating. That's what they're saying.

 

Now he may never start but he is supposed to become the long man by the second half.

Seeing how Rajai has played this year I would rather keep him and flip Boni, but it obviously comes down to trade value as well and Rajai probably would be a more attractive options to other teams.

 

It's going to get interesting when Lawrie returns in 2 weeks. Does AA then move to a 7 arm pen?

getting Boni out of the infield is important. he's got concrete hands. I hope Kawasaki gets time at second in AAA to see if he can transition there. he'd be a good option if he can handle it. Boni brings nothing to the table and I agree that Rajai has more value than Boni. I dont see how the jays aren't stuck with Boni. the only thing we can hope for is him getting better. I just dont see that happening. He's a fast Eric Thames with almost no power.

This is my biggest issue with the team..the hitting approach at times is terrible and too easy for pitchers to shut down. We need guys who have more professional at bars... Too many low average, all or nothing hitters, who are prone for bad streaks. The rays series is a perfect example, no way should we have only scored 1 run against matt moore, who could not throw anything for strikes. We need an upgrade or a change in philosophy

I would figure Bonifascio has more trade value. Scary huh? Rajai is a free agent after the season and considering the CF market, even a LF with speed like Davis is going to be shopped as a center fielder. I think that we are all going to be floored at the money he gets too. He has a big overpay contract heading his way.

I also don't expect Lawrie back until after the break. Considering his injuries, his shortened ST and his poor production, I figure that he does the entire 20 days of rehab.
