Metallijay Verified Member Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Why was Rajai not leading off today??? If you're going to have him in the lineup... Against a lefty... This, I had no issue with gibbons but cabrera is cringe worthy leading off.
deepz Verified Member Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I think Reyes pushes Melky down to the 5 hole or even further down. That is, if he doesn't go on the DL.
Metallijay Verified Member Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I think Melky is also hitting under .200 vs LHP. Yep....
kcjaysfan Verified Member Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Don't even think it was close, dude was completely on the other side of the line. It's not where the player was, but whether the ball itself was in foul territory. They didn't show a replay on the Rays feed (that I saw), so I couldn't really tell.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Uhh that was caught foul... "The position of the fielder's body or feet, have absolutely nothing to do with judging whether a ball is fair or foul. The judgment is based solely upon the relationship between the BALL and the LINE at the moment the fielder touches the ball, or at the moment the ball comes to a stop, or on outfield fly balls; the moment it touches the fielder or the ground."
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 If the Jays stay patient Moore won't be in there long and I like our chances against their BP Name of the game right now should be to take a few pitches unless he throws one right down Broadway. If the Jays can get to that pen before the 6th inning it could be a great night for us.
Metallijay Verified Member Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Sigh.......Give it right back. What was Jp doing that's terrible.
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 JPA blows so many double play opportunities with his horrid defence.
frizzer1 Verified Member Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 As bad as he is, if not melky, then who? Bonifacio? Same difference.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 "A FAIR BALL is a batted ball that settles on fair ground between home and first base, or between home and third base, or that is on or over fair territory when bounding to the outfield past first or third base, or that touches first, second or third base, or that first falls on fair territory on or beyond first base or third base, or that, while on or over fair territory touches the person of an umpire or player, or that, while over fair territory, passes out of the playing field in flight."
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Replay on that "no" call? They haven't shown one Needed a better angle You could tell Longo's body was mostly was in foul territory, but where was the ball when it went in his glove?
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Come on double play. Keep it together Buerhle. You got it man.

Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Have I mentioned how much I dislike JPA tonight?

kgm1 Verified Member Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I think JPA really pisses guys like Buehrle off with his s***** defense
