HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 Great to see how the Pirates soured on Bautista, his endorsements (he earns 7 figures), his robbery..
Jays Verified Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I'm going to see if I can find the at bat where supposedly everything "clicked" for him That would be really cool to see... and the at bat before that.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 It's the first time I heard him credit the turnaround to Wells. Always heard it was Cito/Murphy
kcjaysfan Verified Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Alright... 2009, Day game against the twins, September It's either this game http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/TOR/TOR200909100.shtml Or http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/TOR/TOR200909070.shtml I think it's the first game, because he hit a double in that game. Now to find highlights of it I was looking it up also and I agree it's the September 10th game, as it says in the article that he hit the ball off the wall. I looked for a highlight, but it only shows his homerun from that game. I'm going to watch the at bat on MLB.TV. *Edit: For some reason, it's not letting me watch the game. I can't watch anything before the 2010 season.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 "He’d break into fist fights with friends over ball-and-strike calls. " Haha, that sure sounds like our Bautista there's a reason why there are no DR umpires. They all get s*** on by players back home.
kcjaysfan Verified Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I posted on the MLB.tv support forum, and all they said was what I already knew, in that all that's available is the audio and condensed game. I couldn't find the condensed game, but I was able to find the gameday using the search feature on mlb.com. Here's a link to it. What's interesting is near the top of the page, there's a link for MLB.tv, but I'm sure you have to be a subscriber. I was able to load the game, so if you go through the gameday, you can apparently get games from 2009. If you are able to watch it, his at bat in the 2nd is around the 36 minute mark.
kcjaysfan Verified Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Let's see if this works: Jose Bautista double. Second inning, 09/10/09. Unfortunately, I couldn't get sound.
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 That was well worth the read, thanks for posting.
