digiblader Verified Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Actually, Texas is the best team. Oakland's struggled recently with offense and pitching.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Edwin Encarnacion right now ESPN Radio Dominicana -The pitching will be the key because we always hit well. It's not easy to win games when you start the game losing 5-0. -Has been very nice, we were waiting for this. The fans and journalists did not believe in us. -Bad luck, many hard balls direct to the glove of the opposite teams and nothing came out right. -We have the talent and things will continue to improve, all with positive mindset. -My improvement is due to the confidence that the team gave me and play 1B everyday. Cano and Jose Mercedes helped me a lot 2 years ago in the offseason at San Pedro de Macoris. -I think Jose Reyes is an inspirational spark. We miss him and look forward to integrating to the team. -Esmil Rogers and Chien-Ming Wang have given a big change oooooo
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Right. I was like "why don't we just sweep the O's!?" Let's win. Although as Chappy says, focus on each game at a time. Let's win tonight then. Go Jays!
kmoss Verified Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 People keep mentioning that we often lose at tropicana field but no one mentions how we won our last series there this season, it was the first time in how long ?

It was a split, Blue Jays won the series at the RC though, maybe that's what you're thinking about.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Before we get all our expectations ridiculously high, just know that the Jays haven't won a series in Tampa since 2007. We are horrendous against the Rays. We look worse than Joe Maddon's ass-hair. Hard to put much faith into the idea that the building is some sort of jinx... Jays have the matchup advantages and are at the very least playing like the superior team ATM.

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Rays lineup out--no Jennings. Joyce lf, Zobrist 2b, Scott DH, longoria 3b, loney 1b, Myers rf, Fuld cf,* lobaton c,* Escobar ss,* That's not a particularly daunting line-up outside of Longoria (natch). Jays should distract Scott by all wearing Obama masks, sending him into a seething rage...
DickeyJohnsonWang Verified Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Rays bullpen has been dreadful, got to work Hellickson's pitch count and get him out and we'll have a good chance to win. A good series from Rasmus would be nice

A good series from Rasmus would be nice for some reason the jays always seems to struggle against hellickson, hope that changes tonight, he has struggled this year.
digiblader Verified Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 If you're wondering on Kelly Johnson, his numbers have fallen off--.123 in June. Like the Yankees hitters, he's regressed back to the mean. Other June Numbers in averages: James Loney: .244 Yunel Escobar .253 Longoria .293 Scott .220 Zobrist .321 Joyce .247 Jennings .256 Fuld .182 Lobaton .275

Metallijay Verified Member Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 Last time they faced him he wasn't that great. No he has not been good at all, but the jays usually struggle against him, hope that changes, plus he looks like he's 12.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 That assturd Escobar better not be showboating again
DickeyJohnsonWang Verified Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 for some reason the jays always seems to struggle against hellickson, hope that changes tonight, he has struggled this year. yeah we've actually won both games against him this year, though no-decisions. One was the game where we came back down 7-0 and won 8-7, other was a 4-3 win where Jose tied the game in the 9th on a homer and drove in the winning run in the 10th.
