Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Edinson Volquez drawing interest from multiple teams Drew Silva updated 11:22 am. EDT Jun. 23, 2013 The July 31 non-waiver trade deadline is over a month away, but the winds of change are already blowing. According to Bill Center of the San Diego Union-Tribune, scouts from the Orioles, Phillies and Blue Jays were in attendance at Petco Park for Edinson Volquez‘s start on Saturday night against the Dodgers. The Royals also had a scout in the building, but Center suspects that he was looking into either a corner outfielder or middle infielder. http://m.nbcsports.com/content/edinson-volquez-drawing-interest-multiple-teams Oh God no, please not. Aaron Sanchez for Volquez Here we go
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 or Chase HeadleY? wait a minute................
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Volquez sucks, why are they wasting scouts on seeing that train wreck?
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Perhaps they were just there and Volquez happened to be starting?
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Oh God no, please not. Aaron Sanchez for Volquez Here we go Haha, that's not happening bro, calm down.... It'll be for Jason Marquis!

dineke Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Wait, the Phillies are buyers? Yeah Ruben Amaro is kinda a dumbass. Hopefully he sees the light and trades us Lee.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Wait, the Phillies are buyers? In Amaros eyes they are.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Yeah Ruben Amaro is kinda a dumbass. Hopefully he sees the light and trades us Lee. Give him back Drabek for that contract. Would he waive his no-trade for TO?
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Aaron Sanchez for Volquez 2 bags of my poop for Volquez
flafson Verified Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 What's wrong with Volquez? He can hit a homerun and we could use a few more sluggers like him
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 Osuna + Gose + Stroman + Boni for Headley lol
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Osuna + Gose + Stroman + Boni for Headley lol Headley + 5 year extension.... - Osuna and Stroman....
Rajais Mitten Verified Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Jays scout was clearly there to watch Greinke pitch right #GreinketoToronto #Istillbelieve
flafson Verified Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I really doubt they gonna give away Boni, he still under performs and you can see so much up side to him that it will be silly to give him away.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Then move Lawrie to second? If you can get Chase Headley at a good price, you can definitely move Lawrie to second.

Ehh Verified Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 BoniFiasco 2011 - .335 wOBA 2012 - .290 wOBA 2013 - .233 wOBA He's awful He can run fast..............and that's about it.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 If you can get Chase Headley at a good price, you can definitely move Lawrie to second. Headley is a little overrated ("One all-star caliber season wonder")
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 He can run fast..............and that's about it. This is baseball, not track and field. You can't steal the 1B (Only Jean Segura can lol). Boni OBP is atrocious
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Headley is a little overrated ("One all-star caliber season wonder") You don't think getting Chase Headley would be an improvement on this team? I'm not saying he's the best player ever, I'm just saying he's a worthy upgrade and I would move Lawrie to 2nd if we were to acquire him.

Lawrie is our 3B of the future.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 The problem is we have 3 so-so middle infielders right now in Kawasaki, Izturis and Bonifacio If we're going to pick someone up I want it to be a large upgrade or else why bother?
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I'd rather pay a lower price and get a 2B .... Lawrie is our 3B of the future. I agree about Lawrie... but do you think you could get a better overall player for 2B at the same price that you pay for Headley?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 I agree about Lawrie... but do you think you could get a better overall player for 2B at the same price that you pay for Headley? I didn't say better than Headley, I said an upgrade at 2B at lower cost (Daniel Murphy, Ackley or Espinosa??)

If Headley cost us 100 and Murphy cost us 90, I'd pay 100 for Headley and move Lawrie to 2nd... but if Headley cost us 100 and Murphy cost us 50, then the move is different.
Ehh Verified Member Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Hopefully they were scouting the cheese dogs and not Volquez
