gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 I had no idea that Edwin was blessed with Miggy's 80 grade hit tool. I was referring to the approach. Jesus Christ

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Bautista for Profar in the off season. Reyes to second,Profar at SS. Best middle infield around. Get er done AA. Why wait to do it in the offseason. This trade needs to happen tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!
Metallijay Verified Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Its like people dont understand how hard it is to square up at 94 MPH fastball he wasnt trying to just square it up he pulled off early and tried to crush hit, thus swung and miss. Research what plat approach means. Not one of them even attempted to go the other way just hero swing after hero swing.
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Its like people dont understand how hard it is to square up at 94 MPH fastball It's easy. You just completely change the approach you've been using successfully for the last year+, and inside out Joe Nathan to RF. It doesn't matter if you're only comfortable when pulling pitches with authority. Just copy Miguel Cabrera. Baseball is easy!
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Baseball is easy UGH!!!!!! I could've cashed in those runs!!! My team lost wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Edwin has a certain skill set and his swing and approach are built to maximize that skill set He can't use a miggy approach because he doesnt have miggy skills.

LMAO dumbest thing I ever heard, Players all over baseball who are not miggy use the same approach. You just start watching baseeball? Going with the pitch is hardly a new concept only for elite hitters.
Wilnercibia Verified Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Lol fighting for the Penant?? This team?? We are fighting to climb to back to 500!! Even that's proving to be a difficult task!! Johnson sucks too, what a bust he is. Ace material eh...Send him packing to San Diego or San Fran
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Why wait to do it in the offseason. This trade needs to happen tonight!!!!!!!!!!!! 1 Reyes 2 Profar 3 EE 4 Lind 5 Melky 6 Lawrie 7 Rasmus 8 JPA (Jimenez) 9 Gose
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2013 Author Posted June 9, 2013 Wait, are we all blaming EDWIN here instead of the fact that Bautista didn't put the ball in play before making a f***ing joke of himself?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 1 Reyes 2 Profar 3 EE 4 Lind 5 Melky 6 Lawrie 7 Rasmus 8 JPA (Jimenez) 9 Gose Much better lineup than we have now.

An elite hitter will fail 65% of the time, EE failed, its not unexpected ... if hitter we so easily able to adjust their approaches in clutch situations you'd see a lot of guys with clutch numbers way better than their baseline numbers

Why aren't other hitters?

Ever here of a gap to gap approach? Are you saying EE and Bautista do not possess the skill set for this type of approach, especially with two strikes?

If only we still had Snider. He was always great at bringing in the runners, especially when there were less than 2 outs.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Much better lineup than we have now. If Gose can continue to improve on his OBP,what speed from 9-2 in the line up with meaty bats to follow. Sick. Not to mention GG defense at SS(Profar) and CF(Gose). If Jimenez is the catcher,we'd arguably have the defense up the middle in all of baseball.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Bummed we lost this one So many chances for another few runs and nothing Grrr

Lets not pull fake stats out of our ass shall we

The Yanks are 1 point higher than us and have a lower SLG but I bet posters would point them out as a team that has a CHAMPIONSHIP approach with RISP if i just didnt look it up
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Jimenez is still like 3 years away. With AA in charge? Seriously though,a Jimenez sighting should come no later than September 2014.

JFD Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 typical blue jays loss.. score some runs early and pack it in the rest of the way. f***ing bums
kgm1 Verified Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 thole did not have a good game . I was not impressed . Hopefully he learns and improves . Disappointing that JJ did not pitch well but I blame a lot of that on Thole , First inning seemed to me JJ was hitting the glove but it was a foot outside a lot of the time , seemed like he had really good stuff . We need JJ to have 4 or 5 really solid starts so we can get full value from him in a trade . I personally think had he been pitching well right now There are teams like the cards and Reds who would pay dearly for him .

He just had the nerve to throw out a random fake stat, so i spent the 10 seconds it took to type in "team stats mlb" in google and prove him wrong
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Of course not, he's a retard. When a guy doesn't know the ruling of what a foul ball is, enough said. lol was that him, the guy who claimed its where the ball goes over the base, even if its in the air
