Notes:

 

Rangers::

  • Adrian Beltre is HOT. Beltre, who will probably DH the series because of the turf, is batting .435/.458/.783 (20-46) with 4 homers and 8 RBIs on his 11 game hit streak. Last year Beltre hit .387 with a homer against the Jays for a Texas team that took 6 of 9 meetings last year
  • The Rangers have not lost more than 3 straight, making them the 3rd team so far to do so along with the Red Sox and Cardinals
  • With Rangers first baseman Mitch Moreland heading to the 15 day DL, Chris McGuiness will make his MLB debut at first base after a promotion from AAA Round Rock Express

 

Jays:

  • The Jays have had one run decisions in 7 of the past 10 games. Their record? A sad 1-6
  • Encarnacion can finally fall back to his 1B/DH position. The slugger played 3B to make room for Lind for interleague play, making 2 errors there giving him 114 in 669 games. He did however go 10/30 (.333) in that span with three homers
  • The Jays are 9-11 in series opening games

I don't feel too much relieved with Encarnacion getting out of 3rd base if Izturis is the guy that is replacing him

But at least we can finally get back to our 7pm ball games, i was getting tired to wait till 10pm to watch baseball and go to bed at 3am. lol

True, I feel the same way especially when I see this line-up with Izturis, Bonifacio, and Kawasaki. :)

Injured. They will probably keep Profar up even when he returns though.

Izturis should never be allowed to play 3B

 

He practically needs a cutoff man to get the ball to first
