hummus Verified Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Melky gets suspended I will boycott baseball, it's part of the game since day 1.. He served his time
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Wow this could get a bit Crazy I'm kind of excited... will give me something to talk about since our jays are so crappy
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 100 game suspension? more for melky if he's on that list lol
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Could you imagine if Melky, Jose, EE and Reyes were all suspended. LOL
hummus Verified Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Could you imagine if Melky, Jose, EE and Reyes were all suspended. LOL Noone would be surprised, that's the sad part
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 I was going to say we will tell if any jays are on the list by the way they are playing tonight and who looks like they have something on their mind... but then thought that's about every jay this entire year..
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 100 game suspension? more for melky if he's on that list lol This is the same clinic that Melky got busted using, so he's probably already served his suspension, as far as it relates to this bust.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Also, from the article: "The players who might ultimately face discipline from MLB include: Rodriguez, Braun, Cabrera, Colon, Grandal, Nelson Cruz, Francisco Cervelli, Jesus Montero, Jhonny Peralta, CesarPuello, Fernando Martinez, Everth Cabrera, Fautini de los Santos, Jordan Norberto, and a number of players who are either identified by code names or whose names appear in other documents not obtained by "Outside the Lines." All are currently on major-league rosters but for Puello, a top outfield prospect for the New York Mets who is playing in Class AA Binghamton."
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 When will the list be announced the suspense is killing me Probably within 2 weeks
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Unless Melky has tested positive again it would stupid for him to serve additional punishment. Especially there is a bunch of players who never faced any kind of suspension. I would expect to see >50 games so is it possible to add more after the fact?
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Isn't this old news! Old news coming back to life, that will be milked untill something else more exciting comes along
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 He failed one test that's 50 games. It's a written rule. For them to change now would be unfair. Obviously if Melky is targeted again that means hes done something new since his 50-game suspension. I know his agent tried to pull one over on a major league baseball. But the player shouldn't be punished for that. I'm pretty sure the documents they have with Melky's name on them now are the reason he was suspended before... He was probably part of the reason this clinic was brought to the attention of the MLB... That being said, they're a private company and they're free to do whatever they want (provided they don't run afoul of the collective bargaining agreement.)
StevieRay Verified Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 TBH, I m completely for this. a punishment of this degree would be a good reminder to those juicers, identified or not, and hopefully will be the first step to ridding PED out of baseball.

If they can get Melky again I'm sure they will try . Depends if he cooperated with them when they saw his name on this list . Selig wants his legacy to state he was the one who shut down the PEDS when in fact his legasy should be that he resided over the PED era. So to change perception He is smacking everyone he can and melky will be firmly in his sites again
aselvana Verified Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 i guess this explains ryan braun turd like performance lately
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Angrioters soon to be announced suspension thread His last one was kind of a bust

So to change perception He is smacking everyone he can and melky will be firmly in his sites again Selig is the steroid commissioner, there's nothing he can do, and he should have retired years ago. Frankly though, given that he does pretty much nothing, I wouldn't have retired from his close to $20M salary either.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 From everything i'm reading, if these guys all get suspended, Melky WILL be suspended AGAIN. Which is ********, but whatever.
Doc Verified Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Well Melky's sub .700 ops suggests that he's clean, not like he's tearing it up like the last 2 years.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 100 game suspension? more for melky if he's on that list lol I don't get the melky suspension...his suspension ran till the end of last season..all the biogenesis talk came out a month or so after that...unless he went back to biogensis in the winter he shouldn't face another suspension...

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 No!! Not J.Peralta, I'm quite happy with him as my fantasy SS! In seriousness, mlb isn't the winner here. Most of the guys probably passed multiple tests in the last couple years and it basically shows the whole testing process is crap for the most part ( not like the average person didn't know that already but for media purposes). Yes, they did catch Melky, Grandal, etc but for everyone they catch, they prob miss 10-20. Also for every clinic like this one, I'm sure there's another catering to another set of player.s
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 MLBPA would never allow Melky to get suspended twice for the same offense. Would never hold up on appeal either. That's fairly obvious
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 ESPN: Players Under Scrutiny Major League Baseball will seek to suspend about 20 players connected to Biogenesis, OTL has learned. Among the players who might ultimately face discipline: Player Team Ryan Braun Brewers Everth Cabrera Padres Melky Cabrera Blue Jays Francisco Cervelli Yankees Bartolo Colon Athletics Nelson Cruz Rangers Fautino de los Santos Free agent Gio Gonzalez* Nationals Yasmani Grandal Padres Fernando Martinez Astros Jesus Montero Mariners Jordan Norberto Free agent Jhonny Peralta Tigers Cesar Puello** Mets Alex Rodriguez Yankees * Sources told ESPN that Gonzalez only received legal substances ** minor leaguer, not a member of the MLB Players' Association
Errorcebia Verified Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 MLB is stooping to the NBA's level. Such a poorly run league. They are partaking in a witch hunt to try to restore fan confidence when it only proves that their own testing has been s***, and frankly any fans with a brain don't care at this point.
