Lets give some props to the pen

 

They lead MLB in innings pitched (not a good thing) but they've been really good

 

In this 3 game series against SD, they pitched 22 and 2/3 innings. And gave up a grand total of *1* run.

 

Even when a starter has a bad start they've been keeping us in games

 

Imagine is the starting rotation started to perform...

Even before that its been a strong point.

 

Are there some loose ends in there? Sure. Especially Lincoln and Rogers.

 

But the rest have been consistently at least good and several of them great

I agree, the bullpen has been very good this whole season, aside for a few hiccups.

Makes sense though, bats have been decent, and starting pitching has stunk, we always miss out on one of the variables.

the back end of the bullpen namely cecil delabar janssen and loup have been fantastic and whipping boy Rogers hasn't given up a run in something like 12 or 13 innings.....now can we get some starting pitching...josh jo gets his opportunity tues...come on man...put up a good outing!

been suprising solid pen, if we could get Santos back that would give us a very dominant 4 guys. What we need now is Dickey and Johnson to start pitching like this can and help take this team in a run

The problem this year has been how many times:

 

1. The starter puts us so far behind there's no real chance of a comeback even if the bullpen stops the bleeding

 

2. We go late in the game or extra innings tied/close and the offense can't put up the 1 or 2 runs needed to win

For all the stuff this forum does well, one of the few things it doesn't do well at all is cutting and pasting from tables. I'd be better off doing a screen capture and uploading the pic possibly.
