Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 wow blanco actually hit that well. Bad luck.
DH12 Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 It's a possibility that AA was thinking even if the Dickey trade blows up in his face (which it looks like it's doing) and he gets fired after this year, worst case JP RIccardi will hire him in New York for being such a nice guy and trading away some of our top prospects for Dickey. He's really in a no lose situation.

Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I wonder what AA really thinks of this mess, not what his PR speak says, but really? I bet he is mad as hell at dickey, Johnson, Buerhle, Boni, Morrow, izturis all guys who have sucked so far for the most part.

IBTrini Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 With Lind's new found approach this year,it's laughable that he isn't a full time starter. I know tonight is different visiting the NL, but how can Gibby justify sitting Lind in favor of DeRosa against lefties. When Rajai is healthy, its at least debatable. Just where would you play Lind, 1B? If so, Encarnacion will have to go to 3B which still brings up nightmares for me. Where else, LF? If so, Cabrera will have no spot to play. DeRosa is there to play 3B.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 this one is going to be over in a hurry.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Yup. JPR's team lead the majors in ERA over a 3-year period at one point. Halladay and Burnett was as good a 1-2 punch as any other. I think I love Evan Gattis. His beard is worth 10 fWAR alone.

I'm assuming that since we haven't been doing that Bautista's back is too sore to do it outside of an emergency.
