G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2013 Author Posted May 29, 2013 Man we suck..when it rains it pours All these Rinky Dink moves matter very little when Morrow, Dickey, Johnson are underperforming so badly.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Juan Perez down, McGowan up Redmond down, LaRoche up That is most likely scenario...don't think the McGowan moves comes until closer to the June 11th date when he has to be moved up
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2013 Author Posted May 29, 2013 They made all the callups already. Wagner, Perez and Todd Redmond Maybe I lost count. With Lawrie on the DL I thought 40 man was at 40 without getting rid of anyone else. Not the case?

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2013 Author Posted May 29, 2013 When in doubt, promote some more shitbags! For two days, of course. Then option them right the f*** back so that you call up new shitbags!

bowld Verified Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 I also assume Janssen will hit the DL today or tomorrow the way this season has gone
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 But it's the NL, that's even more reason for an extra bat. Lots of pitching changes = lots of pinch hitters. They should have burnt the bullpen today and sent in relief reinforcements tomorrow. Oh well. Rogers is a decent hitter (former SS). When the Braves crushed Rogers in the first inning Gibbons must move him to the SS.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2013 Author Posted May 29, 2013 I also assume Janssen will hit the DL today or tomorrow the way this season has gone Probably a safe assumption
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 AA's constant boner for s***** relief pitchers and his lack of concept of what it takes to form a team are getting annoying
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 are the jays really going with a 10 man bullpen tonight? AA has tied Gibbons hands behind his back and shoved them up his ass. lets see Gibbons try to Houdini his way out of this one.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2013 Author Posted May 29, 2013 @Wilnerness590: Also, expect Redmond is only here for the night as Rogers insurance. Thinking he leaves after the game and McGowan is activated. #BlueJays
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2013 Author Posted May 29, 2013 @Wilnerness590: I have been told that we won't be seeing Encarnacion at 3B, and neither will we be seeing Lind in the OF. #BlueJays #Jays
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 If Rogers is a good defender, then they should do what I've suggested before and use both Rogers and Loup as one starting pitching. Cycle them through 3B and P depending on the handiness of the batter. Get through five innings like that. Lou Piniella did with Sean Marshall P/LF/P

That would be cool And I'd love him to try if we were playing, say, the Marlins, and the season was over
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2013 Author Posted May 29, 2013 Every NL team should do this, you don't need as many relievers if your relievers can play defense. But we're only an NL team for 8 days and Rogers has presumably not been practicing playing 3B
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 But we're only an NL team for 8 days and Rogers has presumably not been practicing playing 3B That's okay, apparently Izturis hasn't been practicing ANY position lately.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Wagner's story begins today. This guy will be closing out meaningful games. Would be nice if we picked up a triple-digits pitcher for virtually nothing and he DIDN'T turn into League or Zumaya...
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Our bullpen actually looks really nice now if Casey comes back healthy, and if we get anything out of McGowan once Redmond gets sent packing. 3 different lefties in the pen right now with all completely different styles. That's a nice weapon. If Santos and Oliver come back we could go 7 or 8 deep easily. When your starter allowed five runs in the first 5 innings is hard to win games.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 That's okay, apparently Izturis hasn't been practicing ANY position lately. how many hops on the throw to first? it would look like a hail marry into the end zone to make it on the fly.
theblujay Verified Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Well its not like Izturis or Bonifacio can. So it wouldn't hurt to try. I'm assuming hes played some Third. Let's do it then. Negrych up Redmond down.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2013 Author Posted May 29, 2013 that's okay, apparently izturis hasn't been practicing any position lately. lol
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Can Negrych play 3B? yes but............He can't hit or run
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Wagner's story begins today. This guy will be closing out meaningful games. You think he'll clear waivers?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 yes but............He can't hit or run That's not true at all. He can hit, his running is probably average. It's still not worth calling him up IMO.
Rajaifailedgrade1 Verified Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 So Izturis playing 3rd base tonight? Can we just concede the loss?
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 So Izturis playing 3rd base tonight? Can we just concede the loss? Ugg... Now I'm sad.
