We can beat the padres...I think

Split with the braves, sweep Padres, lose 2/3 to Giants

5-3

We JUST made the Giants look pretty silly, I'm not going to concede 2/3 to them quite yet.

And we could very well get swept by the Padres and Braves lolol

You just never know if the starting pitching is gonna show up

Negrych makes sense so there is no way he is coming.

Precisely.

If EVER there was a time to give the guy a shot...

Juan Perez gets "will be DFA'd when McGowan is forced back on to the roster spot". Wagner stands a chance to stick for a while, but they are relievers and if they have one bad outing they will be done.

I have no confidence in this team anymore, everytime they win a couple they go back to losing and playing bad (like yesterday), giving away games with bad defense, terrible pitching.

It's just for a day or two. Someone gets moved after the Rogers start today. I just hope they these guys into blowouts and actually properly use them. Guys like Perez are around to save the pen...pitch the old bastard until his arm falls off if they Jays are down a bunch

So what's the deal with Wagner - why did the guy end up here so easily? Doesn't seem to walk a ton of guys..

He's a hard throwing guy that was given a chance in 2011 with the A's. Didn't really do much. He's spent 6 years in AA and AAA. He's always thrown hard, he gets K's but he's always been very hittable and walks an average amount. In three seasons in AAA he's given up more than a hit an inning. Suddenly this year he's 4.4 hits/9 while giving up a 34% line drive rate. In other words he's survived this year on guys hitting it right to people. Fun Neil Wagner fact...in 6 Major League appearances, he's yet to pitch in a win.

What the f*** is going on!? LaRoche and another hitter (Sierra/Negrych) better be on their way too.

Yes, another position player is also expected to be chosen today

The BABIP loves him (Lucky bastard)

Yeah dont worry about the lack of position players. Rogers will definitely not go 5 and they need a pitcher today more than an extra bat.

More details and another DFA:

Blue Jays Designate Clint Robinson For Assignment

by Steve Adams, May 29 at 9:54 AM CST

The Blue Jays have designated first baseman Clint Robinson for assignment, according to a team press release. The team also confirmed last night's DFA of Ramon Ortiz.

In related moves, the team has placed Brett Lawrie on the DL with a sprained ankle, recalled right-hander Todd Richmond and selected the contracts of Juan Perez and Neil Wagner (which MLBTR's Tim Dierkes reported earlier today).

The 28-year-old Robinson was claimed off waivers at the end of March from the Pirates organization. Originally a 25th-round selection by the Royals in 2007, Robinson posted a .270/.381/.404 batting line in 47 games at Triple-A Buffalo this season. He is a .306/.382/.512 hitter in parts of seven Major League seasons and received four plate appearances with the Royals last season.

The move will likely happen after tonight's game for that reason

I didn't realize Robinson was on the 40 man roster

Guess he's the odd man out to make room for another callup

Who's it gonna be?!?!

Yeah, Perez looks to be an easy DFA candidate after tonight's game. He's having a nice season in AAA but he's old and this his numbers this year are an outlier even in the minors.

They made all the callups already. Wagner, Perez and Todd Redmond
