SAAviour Verified Member Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I'm getting tired of lawrie, f***in clown! Grow up, your a MLB player, 23 is old enough to not be acting like a 18 year old douche bag. Hit your f***in weight lawrie, shut the f*** up.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I'm quite sure dont be.... moves will be made and if he is going to continue to be a cancer, he's gonna find himself on some other team. what he did today is worse than playing well. being a dugout distraction or clubhouse cancer is like making 100 errors on 1 play. you just dont...ever! suck it up and take it home with you and tell your GF/wife/mom/twitter love about it later. NEVER ON THE FIELD!! He showed up his team, team mates, coaches and his jersey today. it's an extreme offense that will be dealt with. just saying that it's worse than what Escobar did.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Are you sure or not? It was a joke, I'm pretty sure

Great post and agree 100%.
Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 What bothers me the most is Lawrie doesn't seem to think his actions were in the wrong, and that it was the right play not too tag. Based on his response he just thinks it's a normal part of the game.
SAAviour Verified Member Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 You need to change your username lol After the trade deadline I might have to. Depends what AA does.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 After the trade deadline I might have to. Depends what AA does. Unless he trades Henry Blanco for Bryce Harper and Stephen Strasburg you should probably change it
Jonzo Verified Member Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I gotta say, I'm on Bautista sometimes, but good on him for getting in the middle of those two and acting like a leader to Lawrie.
cottoncandy Verified Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Richard Griffin is so stupid Yeah. Embarassing with media is unnecessary. I would consider sitting him but it's probably not a good idea... maybe just bat him 9th.
Rajaifailedgrade1 Verified Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Hopefully Lawrie learned something from watching Machado. That's a professional player right there.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 I don't see the big deal with what Lawrie did, this kind of thing happens in sports. I'm more worried about why he's playing like dogshit.

I'm more worried about why he's playing like dogshit. People are making way too big a deal out of it. It happened Gibbons handled it and it's over. I'm sure it was just an extension of how frustrated he is at himself for playing like garbage.

I can understand him going berzerk in the dugout and taking out a few bats or something. But bitching at Gibbons/Lind/Rivera? Classless
HFTCycle Verified Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Why is there no big deal in your eyes...? Really? If the guys in the club house do not take him down a peg or two after that fiasco then the cancer will spread on this team. Really....! NO BIG DEAL! Wow...it will only get worse if no one steps up on the team and does something about it.
Shogun89 Verified Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 These kinds of bust ups happen all the time in pro sports, but people are making a big deal of it cuz it was caught on camera. They happen 99% of the time in the dressing room or behind closed doors.
HFTCycle Verified Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Yes...I know they do but what should follow is an apology to his third base coach first of all and secondly to the rest of his teammates. He`s got to lay low for awhile because he will be the one that runs himself out of this town and no one else. Change the culture of the team/organization... if this is what most astute baseball fans want..then Gibbons must sit him more often or AA send him down the QEW to Buffalo for rehabilitation of his attitude.
Buster Verified Member Posted May 27, 2013 Author Posted May 27, 2013 The reason this happens 99% of the time behind closed doors is because it can be destructive when done publicly, and 99% of the players know it. Lawrie is one of the 1% that doesn't seem to know that.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 So just because you are stinking it up it's OK to blame your teammates or coaches? I can understand him going berzerk in the dugout and taking out a few bats or something. But bitching at Gibbons/Lind/Rivera? Classless I never said it was OK, I said Gibbons handled it and it's over. We don't know if Lawrie apologized for it and we probably won't cause Gibbons already dismissed it. He's getting called a moron rightfully by thousands of people, I think he'll get it by the time the night is over if he hasn't already. I think we can all agree Lawrie is a Douche but he's nothing like a Milton Bradley or Carlos Zambrano.
SAAviour Verified Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Hopefully Lawrie learned something from watching Machado. That's a professional player right there. Couldn't agree more, it worries me he is on the O's. in my opinion he is up there with Harper and trout...or damn close anyway. Definitely a talent they can build around and nothing we have anything close to.

I think we can all agree Lawrie is a Douche but he's nothing like a Milton Bradley or Carlos Zambrano. When I watched the kawasaki winning double video they showed gibbons giving the handshakes and lawrie gave him a pat on the back that kinda looked like a gesture of him acknowledging he was in the wrong...I mean all he had to do was stop and think clearly for a minute to realize he was in the wrong. It was dumb, but time to move onward...
DH12 Verified Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Gibbons looked funny when he was scolding Lawerie. Looked like a Dad giving his son s*** for getting into an accident with the family car
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Doing it behind closed doors is a lot different, you cant show up your teammates or coaches in front of millions of people. Normally I dont suggest disciplining players for off the field antics but you cant let this go by.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 being a dugout distraction or clubhouse cancer is like making 100 errors on 1 play. Hyperbole is the worst thing in the universe! Also, Bonds was a bit of a clubhouse cancer, and I think there was enough upside to him to keep him around...
