Offence explosion today on GordieDougie's GDT debut! Morrow was bad but the Jays were amazing

it was a bone head play. no one out and it would have been second and third without any risk. they were going to get 1 run no matter what. Rivera tried to stop him and he ran right through. I'm sure that wont sit well with Gibbons.

I don't really have an issue with it, with a 2 run pad that late in the game I am okay with it... I mean, I can understand the argument against it, it wasn't a safe play by any means, but it was a situation where some risk could be applied without it actually being too risky to the overall outcome of the game.

So I watched the Orioles broadcast and they did their little "vote for the player of the game" and selections were Gausman, Encarnacion and some other Orilole scrub. 6% of voters picked the guy that basically put the game out of reach and most picked 5 IP 4 ER 2 BB 5 K Gausman as the better player this game.

I was at the game so I couldn't see. Was there a stop sign up or was there not enough time to react to Gose running?

 

On a side note I ran into a man in an O's jersey getting congratulated in our section prior to the game...so I took a chance and went up and said "Mr Gausman" and it was his Dad. Really cool to see a guy who isn't that much older than my self be that so excited (and willing to talk to a complete stranger) for his son's debut.
