We have a sub par 3 man bench and a bullpen with one too many

 

There are lots of guys (Lincoln, Storey, Jenkins) with options

I think (hope?) that Thole gets promoted... Blanco could easily get sent down, as he's not in a position to refuse an assignment and he should easily clear waivers. I'd also say Lincoln gets sent down, but not sure who replaces him... I'd say Negrych, but without him being on the 40 man it's less likely.

I agree with Thole. There is simply no reason to run Blanco out there.... it's giving up ab's at a time you simply cannot afford to give up AB's.

Here's another point. We have a bunch of games coming up in National League parks. (Atlanta, San Diego, San Francisco)

 

You absolutely HAVE to have some bats on the bench during those games to pinch hit/run for your pitchers. He'd better shrink the bullpen before then.
