Too bad Buehrle's line will have 5 ER against it. I think he pitched better than that.

Meh, he walked 3 and gave up 6 hits in 6 innings, that's not a good performance IMO

Exactly, he was pretty sub-par... But I didn't expect that much more from him... Anyone older than me shouldn't be playing baseball.

Did Buck just say that?

"R.A. Dickey will hook up with C.C. Sabathia"

Am I just hearing things or...?

@Wilnerness590: Scoring some freakin' runs. @Guylamoine: @Wilnerness590 what is the key to beating these Yankees?

I'd fire the equipment guy. he obviously didn't get the jays hitting sticks to NY.

Agreed. I wonder if Gibbons was asleep 'cause I don't think he should've given Buehrle the leash he gave him in the 7th. Not saying the Blue Jays would've come back to win this, but it seems to me he should've anticipated some trouble and had his BP ready at least to help out his starter'r era.

It's funny, I don't really get mad anymore when they lose, I'm resigned to the fact that this is not as good a team as I thought it was.

Jays back to being Jays.

The contrast in cultures between these two teams is laughable.

Toronto is losing but you have Jose Reyes and Bonificacio acting like goofs in the dugout making silly faces and laughing it up.

NY is winning and Jeter is on the railing serious as can be.

This offense is fools gold. They will go on hot streaks and put up 10 runs but then get totally shut down by good teams and good pitching far too often.

Jays are akin to a fastbreak jump shooting basketball team. Can run and jack up a bunch of 3's but have absolutely no inside game and are extremely inefficient. When we play these teams like NY and BOS its clear as day that theyre just a much smarter and more effectively run organization. Its like your playing a game of chess and these teams are always one move ahead of us.

I thought Buehrle should of been pulled after that lead off ground rule double. Maybe leave him in to face the anticipated Ichiro bunt, then lift him for a strike out arm(was Rogers ready?) with one out and a man on third against that right hand hitting ninth hitter scrub.

Meanwhile Kelly Johnson is 3 for 4 today with a homer. .843 OPS so far.

It's funny.

It's almost like you have a tier system. Best case scenario-Middle ground-Worst case scenario

Teams like NY and TB more often then not get at least middle ground to best case with all there players. They bring in junk scrub players and they perform. They bring up nothing prospects from the minors and they peform.

Toronto seems to get middle ground to worst case scenario with all there players. We bring in talented players but almost always have them massivley underperform there talent level.

The question is, is that just luck?

I don't think Rogers was ready, I only saw Loup warming up, but I could be wrong. As I said, this was more about helping out his starter's ERA, but then again, with the lack of emphasis on defense that Gibbons has shown, I don't think he much cares about his pitchers
