o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 You realize he's overpaid, overrated, and we're stuck with this cancer for the foreseeable future? 10 games under .500 it's not even June yet, fans have the right to s*** on this garbage team.. #1moredecade..maybe? and now you made it to the ignorant list. there is a difference between objective displeasure and ignorant hate. you're a hater. at least I dont have to read any more of your posts. you are the weakest link, goodbye
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Why not? You do what you can to win the f***ing game. Janssen won't be needed tomorrow, so rest or saving him for the Sox series wasn't the issue. it wasnt a matter of rest or saving him for future games, it was about saving him for this game in case a save opportunity arose later. So we werent forced to use Lincoln as a closer

What does that have to do with anything? You commented on his pitching performance and I responded as to why it didn't make much sense.
GeorgiaPeach Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 no save opp So then Casey's not as good as people have been talking him up then?
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 So then Casey's not as good as people have been talking him up then? huhh? how do you get that? CJ has been the best and most consistent player on this team
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I agree, I was hoping he came back out when he was only at 110 I'm sure Dickey was as mad at Gibbons as Gibbons was at JPA and Loup.
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I'm sure Dickey was as mad at Gibbons as Gibbons was at JPA and Loup. probably just as mad as he was in KC

So we werent forced to use Lincoln as a closer What? So you prefer to use Lincoln with the game on the line and save our best reliever to start off a fresh inning with significantly less pressure? That is losing logic right there.
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Tommy Milone gets paid 495K Do you see the problem now? how many Cy Young awards has he won?
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 What? So you prefer to use Lincoln with the game on the line and save our best reliever to start off a fresh inning with significantly less pressure? That is losing logic right there. Im not saying I prefer to, Im just saying the reason Gibby did what he did.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 he gets paid 5M a year, go away troll he'll earn his salary. it's more whether what they gave up was worth it. I'd say that if the jays were an 85 win team this year, the dickey trade makes sense, but they are not looking like a 75 game winner now.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 So you would rather Janssen only used in save opps if it means the team loses more games? Let's assume Jansen was brought in and he got out of the inning. Let's say we score a run and then Lincoln is ran out there for the save opportunity. Regardless of the outcome, most baseball people would be laughing at Gibby prior to the inning starting. Managers will not use their closers in a tie game on the road because of the fear of a blown save occurring from the non closer, especially the likes of Lincoln. Yes Cecil was also available. Mathematically over a larger sample size, you will lose more often when using your closer on the road in a tie game.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 What does that have to do with anything? You commented on his pitching performance and I responded as to why it didn't make much sense. dude is a troll Chappy.... nothing but hate mongering.
GeorgiaPeach Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 dude is on troll watch. he's posted nothing but lame hate. I've got 4 people on the list already. pretty much figured out who all 4 are from old board. I'm sure they'll get banned soon enough. I better see some bannings otherwise this forum isn't any better than the MLB forum.

I agree the trade price was too high, but that poster was talking about salary (5M), and i can confirm that with his stupid Tommy Milone comment
OtisNixonFan Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I'm starting to not wanna watch these guys and that f***ing sucks. I'm headed to Tampa on Aug 17th for a three game set and almost feel like kyboshing it. If we hadn't of made these trades, nor were hyped as we were, It would be a hell of a lot easier. f***.
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 anyways guys, 8 AM comes fast, better hit the hay. See you all for the shalacking were gonna get tomorrow
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I better see some bannings otherwise this forum isn't any better than the MLB forum. there needs to be some room for free speech and opinions, but his kind of flaming is just ignorant. there are still a couple of them. I'm sure Chappy is close to giving him a tap on the head with the hammer. lol
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 It's not surprising to you that 5M was the best offer for a cy young winner with no playoff experience... just stop he wasnt a free agent genius
GeorgiaPeach Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 So you would rather Janssen only used in save opps if it means the team loses more games? I f***ing hate posters/fans who think, the closer can only be used in save situations.
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 ok before I go how do you set someone to ignore? this guy is borderline retarded
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 anyways guys, 8 AM comes fast, better hit the hay. See you all for the shalacking were gonna get tomorrow 8am is in 75 minutes. lol tomorrow is another day. hope it ends happier than this one.
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 8am is in 75 minutes. lol tomorrow is another day. hope it ends happier than this one. how on earth do you watch games being 6 hours ahead?
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I f***ing hate posters/fans who think, the closer can only be used in save situations. use the best guy to get the outs to give you a chance to win. sometimes the game gets saved in the 7th by getting to the 9th with a lead. today was a bad decision lifting Dickey. unless Dickey comes out and says he had nothing left, I'll put this loss on Gibbons.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 how on earth do you watch games being 6 hours ahead? I have no life. lol
GeorgiaPeach Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 at the same time tho Casey could have come in, done his thing, and later in the game when a save opportunity arises, we're forced to bring in Lincoln. If Lincoln blows the save, everyone talks about how horribly Gibby managed his pen That's what casual fans do. You know the fans that need their f***ing opinions kept to themselves people.
GeorgiaPeach Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 You realize he's overpaid, overrated, and we're stuck with this cancer for the foreseeable future? 10 games under .500 it's not even June yet, fans have the right to s*** on this garbage team.. #1moredecade..maybe? LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 That's what casual fans do. You know the fans that need their f***ing opinions kept to themselves people. true enough. I think many managers would have played it the same way though. You see it all the time where managers wait to use their closer until they have the lead on the road. Im not saying I necessarily agree with it, its just how it is generally played
GeorgiaPeach Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 he gets paid 5M a year, go away troll 5M in 2013, 12M in 2014 & 2015. 12M club option in 2016 with a (1M buyout)
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 And seeing as the fanbase is littered with f***ing retard fans it gives me the right to s*** on you. Everyone is entitled to flame and maybe have 1 in 50 hate rate to their posts. it's the 50 for 50 haters that just make things unpleasant.
