burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Wasn't Lawrie captain Canada? What does that have to do with Stroman lol? I don't think the Jays view Sanchez as untouchable but the Stroman's friend thing definitely has value to them. If a team is insistent on Sanchez being a big piece for a legit pitcher the Jays will still trade him.
King Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Justin Shafer promoted to Dunedin Dickie Thon Jr. promoted to Dunedin Tiago Da Silva promoted to AA
StroShow Verified Member Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Emilio Guerrero and Christian Lopes promoted to AA Guerrero to the OF?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Guerrero to the OF? I know Guerrero very well, he's Manny Acta's nephew. Big body, not good athlete.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 So what are the blue jays waiting for to promote Boyd to Buffalo?
King Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 So what are the blue jays waiting for to promote Boyd to Buffalo? Another pretty good start. 5.1IP 4H 0ER 0BB 3K 63 strikes, 81 pitches
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Tellez with his 4th HR. DSJ 1-3 with 2 BB.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 So what are the blue jays waiting for to promote Boyd to Buffalo? You don't just move players up and down based on how well they are doing. The guy has 78 IP in AA now, the difference isn't that great, if he's working on a certain pitch with a certain coach it might be just as effective to keep him AA.
bendera3 Verified Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Is Thon anything more than org filler at this point?

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Rafael Devers 5-6, 2 HRs today I hate the Red Sox
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 You don't just move players up and down based on how well they are doing. The guy has 78 IP in AA now, the difference isn't that great, if he's working on a certain pitch with a certain coach it might be just as effective to keep him AA. It might be because he's working on a pitch with a certain coach or it might be because the F/O won't mind calling him up straight from AA. It might be because of something else. It might just be one of those things. Or they might promote him when he's doing poorly. Or it might be after they see him struggle a bit and see him rebound from it. It was a legit question because of how aggressive they've been with some of the other 'spects lately and Boyd's a college draftee, sort of like Graveman. Anyway, it might be time to move on.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 If DSJ continues this and gets a promotion to AAA by year's end, he's going to create some healthy competition in the outfield next spring.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 If DSJ continues this and gets a promotion to AAA by year's end, he's going to create some healthy competition in the outfield next spring. We will see him in toronto come september. He doesnt need a promotion to AAA to compete for an OF job next spring
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 We will see him in toronto come september. He doesnt need a promotion to AAA to compete for an OF job next spring Who's spot is he gonna take next year?
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 We will see him in toronto come september. He doesnt need a promotion to AAA to compete for an OF job next spring Put him back at 2B. Put Travis at SS (can't be worse than Reyes)
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Who's spot is he gonna take next year? he could compete for a spot.... LF if Saunders is struggling with injuries and at the plate
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 he could compete for a spot.... LF if Saunders is struggling with injuries and at the plate Did you see Pompey this year, not as easy as it looks. Pompey has louder tools and better production
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 he could compete for a spot.... LF if Saunders is struggling with injuries and at the plate I hope AA doesn't offer Saunders arb. I'm not a big fan, never was.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I hope AA doesn't offer Saunders arb. I'm not a big fan, never was. Good thing you're not the gm or you'd make clones of Goins and put him everywhere
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Did you see Pompey this year, not as easy as it looks. Pompey has louder tools and better production For sure. Pompey just needs to work on going the other way on pitches on the outer half and he'll be fine.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Good thing you're not the gm or you'd make clones of Goins and put him everywhere There you go bro, the "thanks" your trying to pile up. I thought it would fitting if i went first.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Typical.. Somebody tries to make nice conversation, but it doesn't take long for someone to go full Goins. ftfy
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 ftfy Holy f***.. Why are you such a f***ing nerd?
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Holy f***.. Why are you such a f***ing nerd? Lol I'm just f***ing with you
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Did you see Pompey this year, not as easy as it looks. Pompey has louder tools and better production nowhere did i say it was easy... i said DSJ would compete for a spot next year, not that he would make the team and succeed
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 So my sources tell me Castro will be stretched out to be SP in Buffalo.
