Please tell me this is a sarcastic post?

If not, go look at Pentecosts stats before this game.

Does anyone know anything about Raemon Fields? He has 31 stolen bases in 41 games playing for Vancouver. It seems like his first season, but he is going to be 24 in Nov. Not sure when he was drafted and by whom. Those are Billy Hamilton numbers.

It's pretty interesting how dominating Hendriks has been in the minors. Anyone know how much control we have over that guy?

It would be nice if he could learn a sinker to compensate for the propensity of giving up the long ball

He is just a guy. Undrafted free agent who will help the team toward a NWL championship but nothing more I would think. I wouldn't toss out Billy Hamilton's name when including Raemon Fields.

So, Pentecost of the Canadians has twice left the bases loaded (stranding 6 on base in his last 2 at-bats). Yet, he is giving so much grace while other players would be sitting for a week or more if they didn't perform as the DH or any position. He is a top pick for us but there are also Champions sitting on the bench watching the team struggle. What are your thoughts king? 7 stranded runners by Pentecost in a single game?

Remember kids, never go full retard.

We have a few great players (which we brought in from other teams and paid a lot of money for) on the Blue Jays but you are right King - it all starts with player development! The Canadians have some really good players but we will see what kind of team they shape up to be. 7 stranded base runners by Pentecost is a lot for one game. Bases loaded with one out (hit into double play) and bases loaded with 2 outs accounted for 6 or the 7 he stranded. I am only saying that most players would be sitting for a while on that team. I guess we don't want to mess with his confidence at all and we want to continue to pad some players stats. But it reveals itself at the next level. It all starts with player development is right king.

What? You miss 2 chances and you think he should sit?

Pompey 2-2 with a triple and a walk.

3-4 now. Really seems to be adjusting to AA. Although I hear he was having good Abs right when he was up there but just didn't have the hits to show for it.

Really encouraged by his SO/walk ratio.

The fact that he's a switch hitter and plays a plus defensive CF is exciting. Also with 40+ SB type speed.

I agree. Sounds like a pretty enticing prospect. If he keeps it up seems like he has a good chance of being a 3 WAR CF with potential for more and a pretty decent floor.

Michael Crouse pinch ran for Pompey for some reason. Hopefully he's not hurt.

It was in the ninth and the game did go into extras. Probably nothing, just being precautionary after he already played a full nine innings in the heat.

Pompey continues to hit. One thing I noticed was that he got CS for the 5th time in 11 (?) attempts at AA. I know it's SSS, so take it for what it's worth.

1) Pompey single

2) Pompey advances to 2nd on a wild pickoff attempt

3) Pompey advances to 3rd on a sac bunt

4) Crouse into the game for Pompey on third

Yeah, this sounds precautionary because of the heat.

Didn't know the details, but yeah that does sound like it could be something he may have felt.

I think its obvious that the team wants to move certain players along without much adversity - without feeling any pressure of other players who can take their spot. If you have seen any of the games, certain guys get a base hit even if its a routine play and it bounces off the fielders body or glove (or goes between the defenders legs). As they move up, the numbers balance out. Can anyone explain the promotion of Ian Parmley to high A as an example of moving along certain players? I want our players to develop and progress based of tools but not for other reasons.

How do you feel about the Mark Appel promotion?

Thats just some random kid's opinion. Read his other tweets and he compares him to Randy Johnson and also wants Buck to MC his wedding. Take this with a grain of salt

He wasn't really saying anything of substance lol just listing facts. It's not his opinion that Smoral has a FIP in the low 2's. Just fact and just awesome.

I was more talking about the Randy Johnson comp and the "Fluid Delivery". Im sure the delivery still is a huge work in progress with his size. He is definetly a guy to keep an eye on for sure and we can hope that he can make strides like what Daniel Norris did.
